Clarius Inks Deal to Integrate High-Definition Ultrasound with Trice Medical’s Portable Orthopedic Diagnosis and Arthroscopy Treatment Platform
Clarius Mobile Health, a leading provider of high-definition wireless ultrasound systems, and Trice Medical, a global leader in minimally invasive small procedure technologies, are partnering to deliver the next generation of the world’s first platform that enables orthopedic physicians to use high-definition wireless ultrasound and a single-use handheld arthroscope on one tablet.
"As an orthopedist, my goal is to maximize my patient's quality of life and minimize their disability in the safest and least invasive way possible; Being able to see the body clearly is key to achieving the best outcomes," says Dr. Don Buford, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports and regenerative medicine.
"I just can't wait to get an image of the Trice needle arthroscope along with the Clarius 3rd generation wireless ultrasound transducers in my practice on the same tablet. It's a partnership that will make any orthopedic clinician stop and say, wow, this is really cool!
Scheduled for release in early 2023, the new high-definition mi-ultra™ platform, powered by Clarius, will offer physicians two clear ways to dynamically evaluate the anatomy in diverse care settings.

It combines mi-eye 3®, the world’s first FDA-cleared single-use 25° arthroscope with Clarius high-definition ultrasound, making them accessible through a single premier tablet.
Clarius handheld wireless ultrasound scanners bring high-resolution images that are traditionally only available in more bulky, high-end systems, and at a fraction of the cost.
The new Trice solution will be available with the Clarius L15 HD3, Clarius L20 HD3, L7 HD3 and C3 HD3 scanners. Clarius is the only ultrasound company with an open software platform that provides easy integration with collaborative medical innovations.
"We are thrilled that the Trice Medical team has decided to integrate their revolutionary arthroscope with Clarius wireless high-definition ultrasound," said Ohad Arazi, CEO of Clarius Mobile Health. "By combining our efforts, we will be able to get to the market faster for innovations that will provide a better view for patients."
