A Client Win and A Happy New Year

It is difficult to predict with certainty what the job market will be like in 2023. Job markets can be influenced by a variety of factors, including economic conditions, technological changes, and shifts in industry demand.

That being said, it is always a good idea to be proactive and proactive in your job search. This can include networking, developing your skills, and keeping an eye on job openings in your field. It is also important to be flexible and open to new opportunities as they arise.

2022 was a tumultuous year for everyone, including my mentees. Some of them waited 5 months to land jobs because of the economic downturn of the US markets.

In the end, they found what they were looking for :)

Sharing a recent client win with you

Case Study:

Meet Sarah, a jobseeker with 7 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. She has a bachelor's degree in marketing and has previously held positions at various companies, including a marketing manager role at a large corporation and a marketing coordinator role at a small startup.

Sarah was looking for a new job opportunity and had been actively applying to positions. However, she had been having difficulty getting interviews and felt frustrated with the job search process.

After some reflection, Sarah realized that her job search was dependent on her campus level strategies to gain a mid-level role. (huge barrier for landing advanced roles)

She reached out to me in September this year and discussed how grueling and frustrating her job search felt.

Sarah enrolled for the Kareer Kite Mentorship Program in October

Here is what we worked on:

  1. New active and passive methods to land more roles
  2. Developing her career story
  3. Job search materials: Resume, Cover Letter, Outreach emails and messages
  4. LinkedIn Profile Optimization (crucial)
  5. Behavioral Interview Preparation
  6. Salary Negotiation Tactics

Results:

After several rounds of interviews with five companies and startups, Sarah got a senior marketing manager position at a mid-sized company that aligns with her career goals and values.

Growth happens when you work on your methods of making it happen!

Whenever you're ready, there are three ways in which I can help you:

1) Long-Term 1:1 Mentorship Program: For ambitious jobseekers who have lost the motivation somewhere down the road and are now stepping on the accelerator for their next job search

Wish you a Happy New Year!
