C-Suite Making leaders board-ready is more than just getting a certification - Debleena Majumdar The Economic Times

Serving on a company's board is a prestigious yet challenging responsibility. As organizations increasingly prioritize building strong boards to enhance governance — often driven by regulatory requirements — more opportunities are opening up for senior professionals with expertise in leadership and specialized domains to step into these roles.

However, genuinely impactful board leadership must go beyond compliance to foster transformational change.

Professional coaching can be instrumental here, helping board members develop critical skills like strategic decision-making, active listening, and fostering a collaborative culture. Through coaching, board members can navigate complex dynamics, engage meaningfully with stakeholders, and drive a board culture rooted in innovation, resilience, and accountability, ensuring authentic, lasting organisational transformation.

Book Club

Shoe Dog is what we are reading at our own Regal Book Club, one book a month. Such an inspiring story for all business leaders, entrepreneurs, and dreamers!

Netflix CEO's advice for entrepreneurs

Memorize the first 86 pages of "Beyond Entrepreneurship" by Jim Collins.

I always associated Jim Collins with Level 5 leadership and other books. But Netflix CEO recommends memorizing the first 86 pages of this book. I am adding it to my reading list immediately.

8 Non-Fiction Books Recommended By Paulo Coelho

  • Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse was the first book I heard on Audible. I always thought I would not enjoy audiobooks. But this changed that point of view. I feel it has enhanced my listening skills :)
  • He recommends his book (co-authored) - Alchemist. I recommend too
  • Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl - is one of the must-read books. Have it in the library, inspiring you to live a life searching for meaning holistically. His life is truly inspirational.
