Colorectal Week in St.Gallen – 11th European Colorectal Congress

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the 11th European Colorectal Congress in St.Gallen, Switzerland. This year we focus on rectal cancer with over 35 state-of-the art lectures given by superb Speakers.

Internationally renowned Experts will cover the latest evidence for the management of rectal cancer from local excision to extensive resections, including cutting-edge technological refinements, neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment strategies, and refraining from any resection (watch and wait) in selected cases. The importance of anatomy, pathology, and modern diagnostics tools such as MRI and PET, for strategic decision making will be discussed. Last but not least, prevention and treatment of anastomotic leaks and genitourinary and bowel dysfunction will be covered. Along the whole congress, Experts will review standards and trends in the care of rectal cancer, looking at upcoming challenges and time tested wisdom.

As in the past years, a Masterclass in Colorectal Surgery will precede the Congress. The Masterclass stresses didactic aspects and allows plenty of room to discuss and interact with the Faculty. It may prepare well for board certification / recertification in colorectal surgery.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in St.Gallen for another successful Colorectal Week at the 11th European Colorectal Congress !
