Come and meet us at the CST Annual Conference 2024

On 7th and 8th November, PAG will be exhibiting at the CST Annual Conference with Umbrella Group. Join us at stand B11 to discuss innovative, school-led initiatives designed to expand SEND services, reduce costs, and improve outcomes for pupils and families.

Why This Matters

The SEND system in England is facing unprecedented pressure. With a 140% increase in demand for SEND support since 2015, particularly for pupils with complex needs, the need for effective, scalable solutions has never been more critical. The strain on Local Authorities (LAs), compounded by limited budgets and the high cost of independent placements, means many schools struggle to get the resources they need to support every child.

Our Solution: Scalable, School-Led SEND Provision

Visit our stand to discover how we can help Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) offer high-quality, community-based SEND provision. This model enables schools to establish cost-effective, independent specialist services within six months, reducing the reliance on high-cost providers and significantly cutting costs. MAT-led provision has shown savings of up to £50,000 per pupil while providing accessible, community-focused education that reduces travel times and strengthens local ties.

The Benefits You Can Expect

Our approach offers practical solutions to key SEND challenges:

  1. Financial Relief: By reducing dependency on costly placements, LAs can direct more funds towards enhancing long-term SEND services.

  1. Improved Community Access: Local provision means pupils can stay closer to home, reducing disruption and supporting family routines.

  1. Upskilled Educators: Through specialised training, more pupils with SEND can be supported in mainstream schools, creating a more inclusive educational environment.

  1. Market Competition: With MAT-led options, the SEND market can become more affordable and competitive, benefiting both schools and families.

Already Making a Difference

MAT-led SEND schools have already shown promising results through existing partnerships, and the demand-driven, scalable nature of this model means it is designed to grow as needed. In just a few months, MATs can set up additional “satellite” sites, ensuring no child is left behind. This approach also fosters stronger relationships between commissioners and providers, paving the way for better quality Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and reduced tribunal cases.

Meet Us at the CST Annual Conference 2024

We’re eager to share insights and discuss how this model can help your MAT, school or authority meet the rising demand for SEND support. Let’s talk about how our approach can not only alleviate short-term pressures but also lay the groundwork for sustainable, long-term improvements in SEND provision.
