1yEven though companies are hiring due to my time long term jobless no one will touch me with a 100ft pole.......They always choose people in work or ones who haven't been unemployed for as long as me = more time out of work for me...... I know it sounds very negative but I'm not lying...... Discrimination against the long term unemployed exists and happens every day....... (To get your foot back in the door) when you apply for a job at the bottom of the dept (in my case 1st line support/Helpdesk/service desk) you're told - You are far too experienced and overqualified for this role - = denied the chance of work = more time out of work for me...... No one in power (our PM Rishi Sunak, HR Managers, CEOs, Hiring Managers etc) have the guts or leadership skills to stop this......They just stick their heads in the sand and ignore the problem when that problem is destroying the lives, careers and futures of talented people like me suffering from it. * If no one will offer you an interview or job as you're long term unemployed.......How can you get a job ? * How can you get "recent experience" if no one will offer you a job to gain that "recent experience" because you're long term unemployed ?
