A Comprehensive Guide to Basketball Court Lighting Design

5. Light pole and setting requirements
When the four-tower type, multi-tower type or tower belt mixed lighting mode is used on the spot, it is necessary to choose the lighting pole as the carrier of the lamps and lanterns. Lighting light pole in the case of meeting the requirements of lighting technical conditions, the relationship with the building mainly has the following ways.
1. The lamp pole is independent of the main building, which exists alone as an independent equipment and is widely used currently.
2. The lamp pole is attached to the main building, but it is not combined with the main building as a whole. The foundation of this form may be different from the foundation form of the building, which needs to be treated separately.
3. When the lamp pole is attached to the main building and combined with the main building as a whole, this form can deal with the aesthetic problem very well. If this scheme is feasible, this scheme can be given priority.

1. Arrangement of lamps in the basketball stadium
One. Indoor basketball arena lamps shall be arranged in the following ways:

The lamps are arranged above the site and the beam is perpendicular to the plane of the site.

(2) The lamps are arranged on both sides of the site, and the light beam is not arranged perpendicular to the plane of the site.
(3) Mixed layout of the top layout and the side layout
(4)According to the layout of lamps, it should be medium and wide beam light distribution lamps, suitable for the building space with low height, large span and good ceiling gate reflection conditions, and suitable for the gymnasium with strict glare restrictions and no TV broadcast requirements, not suitable for suspension lamps and the building structure of horse path.
The layout of the basketball court lights shall comply with the following regulations:
1. It is appropriate to place lamps on both sides of the court, and should exceed 1 meter above the end of the competition site.
2. The installation of lamps should not be less than 12 meters.
3. Lamps should not be arranged above the circle area with a diameter of 4 meters centered on the basketball frame.
4. The aiming angle should be as low as 65 degrees as possible.
5. The front of the lamps cannot be arranged on both sides of the basketball court.
Three. Outdoor basketball arena
(1) The outdoor basketball arena shall be decorated in the following light mode
1. The lamps on both sides shall be combined with lamp poles or building paths, and arranged on both sides of the competition field in the form of continuous light belt or cluster concentration.
2. The lamps in the four corners are combined with the centralized form and the lamp pole, and are arranged in the four corners of the competition field.
3. Mixed layout The two sides are combined with the four corners.
(2) The layout of lamps in the outdoor basketball court shall comply with the following provisions
1. When there is no TV broadcast, use the lamp on both sides of the venue.
2. The lamps should not be arranged within the center of the ball frame at the bottom of the ball line and the bottom line, the distance between the bottom of the lamp pole and the Angle between the site plane should not be less than 25 degrees.
3. Under any lighting method, the layout of the light pole should not hinder the sight of the audience.
4. Symmetrical lamps shall be arranged on both sides of the site to provide the same lighting.
5. The height of lamps in the competition ground should not be less than 12 meters, and the height of lamps in the training ground should not be less than 8 meters.
