Confession of a Competitor

Dear BIVILLEPM Community,

I have a confession: I promised that I would not mention any brand other than our own. Maybe this is the last one I will. Let me be honest: I’m jealous. Yes, I’m jealous of Dangote, and he is my number one competitor. Why am I jealous?

It started when I was researching EPC companies in Nigeria and examined their competitive advantages. I noticed that Dangote is the only one with project management as a competitive advantage, and that is exactly who we are.

Our vision was built around becoming number one in project management consulting and contracting in Africa, and that is what Dangote is.

You don’t expect me to be full of love for Dangote when all the glory and credit I should achieve have been garnered by him. He is not even an engineer, nor does he hold a PMP or a COREN license—credentials that I possess and that underscore my expertise. Despite this, he is much more successful in achieving what I envision and using similar strategies.

Yes, I’m jealous, and I have the right to be, but in a positive way. 😏
