Congrats to me!

Congrats to me!

It's my anniversary.

I have exercised every day for at least an hour since 16th November 2019 (or was it 2018? Can't remember the year).

When I tell people about it, the responses are varied.

"Wow! Go you".

"That's too much."

"What sort of exercise?"

"Do you vary the exercise?"

"You need to take rest days"

...and so forth. You get the drift.

Everyone loves to give their opinion (to themselves in their head), or to me out loud.

But it's not really about me, it's about them (their view of the world and perspective, whether they have expertise around exercise and physiology or not).

And, let's face it, whenever you are doing something a bit different or unusual - or heck, even normal, people measure it up against their beliefs and then give you their two bobs' worth.

Please remember that their currency is worth nothing to you. (Unless you want to put value on it).

In this instance, I put value on it to give me ideas for implementation, but not to determine my overall strategy. (I've already got that sorted.)

I still do my hour, but over time I have mixed the activities up a bit more based on some comments from others to rest my body and avoid injury. Walking, swimming, running, boxing, PT, bike riding, water stretching,.. and not always a straight hour, could be 40 mins in morning and 20 mins at night.

I have created my own rules. It feels good and it's working.

Stop relying on the random opinions of others to steer your ship. It's your vessel and you are in charge. How convincing someone is, or how sure of themselves they are, has no bearing on how right they are.

Do it your way. Opinions are great to HONE your way - but don't rely on them.

Get back in the driver's seat in your business and your life. Now.

Catch you later. I'm going for a ride.
