Congrats! TCU Sales Program Graduates 59 Students

Congratulations to the TCU Sales Center's Spring 2023 graduating class! You have achieved something truly special and we couldn't be prouder of all that you have accomplished during your time with us.

On average, you each managed 15 company accounts, contacted 30+ professionals, secured 13 meetings, resulting in $2,500 revenue ($147,500 in total). It's no surprise that 79% of you chose to go into sales roles, with top hiring firms such as Gartner , Dell Technologies , ADP , and AlphaSights recognizing your exceptional skills and potential.

What's even more impressive is the diversity of backgrounds and majors within this graduating class. Our 59 graduates come from 4 different colleges across 12 majors, including Film, Television and Digital Media, Journalism, Economics, Nutrition, Biology, Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, Finance With Real Estate, Managing People and Organizations, Marketing, and Supply and Value Chain Management. This diversity has been a great strength of this class, with each of you bringing unique perspectives and experiences to the table.

The Spring 2023 graduating class of the TCU Sales Center is truly remarkable. What sets them apart from other graduating classes are three key factors:

  1. Win-Together Mentality: This class embraced that sales is a team sport, working as a cohort or family to achieve success. They supported each other through failures, celebrated together, and formed lifelong friendships.
  2. Coachability:  They embraced coaching and had a growth mindset, which was evident in the 1,500 hours put in by the coaches and the 250 coaching sessions hosted by the consultative selling faculty.
  3. Grit: They faced numerous challenges, including COVID, virtual teaching/selling, higher sales program expectations, larger product portfolios, a more selective program, larger classes, and a difficult hiring environment. However, they didn't just focus on surviving but instead focused on thriving despite the obstacles.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the 20 graduates who served as sales coaches for Consultative Selling or Foundations of Selling. You sacrificed your time to support your peers, and your contributions were instrumental in the success of the program. As Dr. Zachary Hall said, "coaches are the backbone of our program. Without them and their willingness to pour into our students, our program would not be where it is at today." Thank you: Abby Ranly , Alexis Ocana , Andrew Moore , Ansley Reynolds , Aryanna J Ferdinandi , Brendan Fisher , David Robertson , Gabriela Escalona , Grace Lane , Hailey Brown , Jack Podsednik , Jayden Houston , Jen Cutro , Jessi Bowbeer , Lily Tierney , Margo Johnson , Morgan Strnad , Nick Kincaide , Nora Johansson , and Trevor Matthews .

Thank you to all the sales faculty to chose to go above beyond the call of duty to share your insights, experience, expertise and most of all time. Thank you to the following faculty who helped these students over the past 2-3 years.

Foundations of Selling Faculty: Sandy Weissinger , Jeff Yale , Dr. Elijah Clark, DBA , and Raelynn Mears, MBA

Consultative Selling Faculty: Corey Hutchison and Zachary Hall

Sales Practicum: Jonathan Rhoads , Stephen Lewis , Jeff Yale and Zachary Hall.

"In closing, it feels like only yesterday that I had the pleasure of teaching these students in a small sales lab, sales practicum, or info session. And yet, today, I see these once bright-eyed students now mature, professional, accomplished, and successful young adults. While students often thank their professors for the impact they've had on their lives, they may not realize the incredible impact they've had on us faculty as well.

Spring 2023 graduates, you have forever changed me, our faculty, and our program. We are all your biggest advocates, cheerleaders, and supporters. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, and here's to all of your future successes in life and career. Go Frogs!" - Dr. Zach Hall and the Entire TCU Sales Faculty.
