Content Makes Your Blog Go

(Updated 11/1/2022)

Bloggers often overlook the simple truth.

Blog posts make your blog go.

Blogs bleed value based on the volume of quality content published on the blog. Content forms the foundation for every successful blogging campaign.

Build your blog on a collection of detailed blog posts. Target posts to draw interested readers to your blog. Blog content forms the basis of a successful blogging career. Before all else, write and publish in depth blog posts. Do this on a consistent basis to succeed.

Outreach plays a role in the success equation. Reach out to bloggers. Comment genuinely on their blogs. Promote them on your blog and through social media. However, blog content is most important. Do not resist creating content for your blog. Do not allow weeks to fly by before publishing your next post. Create and publish blog content frequently to become a professional blogger.

Do Not Hold Back

Do not hold back. Bloggers usually hold back. This is why bloggers struggle, fail and quit. Observe successful bloggers. Every pro publishes detailed content regularly. This is because content makes blogs go. If you don’t create content your blog won’t go anywhere.

Blogging From Paradise is a collection of blog posts spanning in the hundreds. I update old content to republish it daily but also publish new content on a daily basis. My blog is what it is because of my blog posts. Your blog will be what it is because of the frequency and depth of posts you publish to your blog.

The recipe seems simple. Published detailed content frequently. But the ego wants you to do different things. The ego wants you to engage in outreach before publishing new content. Mental blocks concerning writing try to pull you away from publishing new content. But if you don’t publish content you’re in trouble.

Prolific Bloggers Rule the Web

Prolific bloggers usually rule the web because blog content wins. Connected bloggers make an impact. Skilled entrepreneurs monetize their blocks effectively. But prolific bloggers lay the foundation for successful campaigns based on simply publishing a high volume of detailed, targeted content.

Blog content makes your blog go. Without it you’re dead. With it you can succeed. Everything depends on your willingness to create targeted content for your ideal reader.

Be prolific. Leave your comfort zone. Stop creating so much on social media. Bring those ideas to your blog. Expand on them.

I follow bloggers on Twitter to get blog post ideas. I may tweet a few updates here and there to publish text only content on that platform. But I take one or two of those ideas and flesh it out into a 1000 word post for Blogging From Paradise. I take a tweet idea and turn it into a post for my blog since I own my blog. I don’t own Twitter. Why would I spend time creating a Twitter thread on a site that I do not own?

Bloggers err through the mistake of making social media owners rich with content. I prefer to publish that content on my blog to expand my freedom and to help you in the process. Why build a social media empire that you don’t own? Why not build your own blogging empire? Publish content to your blog. Before you start another Twitter thread save yourself some time and energy. Write the content on your blog. Publish it as a 1000 word blog post. Make money. Build your brand. Expand your freedom.

Use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as ways to meet readers to send to your blog. I work each network but build everything around Blogging From Paradise. Why would I want to build their site when I don’t own their site? I prefer to build Blogging From Paradise because I own this site.

Publish Detailed Content Frequently

The quickest way to build your site is to publish targeted, in-depth blog posts frequently. Publish at least one post a week. Ramp it up to two to three posts weekly to accelerate your success. Blog content makes your blog go. Without it you’re dead in the water. With it you will succeed.

Don’t be afraid of your own magnitude. Bloggers self sabotage for fearing their own greatness. What happens when you publish detailed content to your blog regularly? Success will find you. Does that feel comfortable to you? Or does it feel like losing your freedom? Do you fear being criticized, or being rejected or flat out failing after you work for a long time on your blog? Answer these questions honestly. Honest answers reveal self-sabotaging ways that consume your intrinsically prolific nature.

Work Onsite

Before you create something for some other site begin working on your next blog post. Put the content on your blog. You own that content. Each post builds your net worth. Network and monetize of course but publish blog content to form a rock solid foundation for a professional blogging career. Run everything through your blog first. Feel free to leverage after that.

Use social media sites to send people to your blog by being helpful and engaging on these sites. Draw people to your blog. Make your blog the priority. Don’t make social media a priority. Don’t make forums a priority. Don’t even make blog commenting or guest blogging a priority because each occurs offsite.

Offsite strategies are number two. On site strategies are number one. Write and publish helpful blog content daily. Don’t worry about publishing it to the void. Publish enough detailed content and people will see it even without engaging in a stout blogger outreach campaign. Detailed content gains attention organically. People note really good content. The more good content you publish the more people will notice it.

Bolster your campaign with off site tactics like blogger outreach but build the foundation on your blog posts. Publish detailed content regularly. Blog content makes your blog go. Stop building other people’s empires with most of your online efforts. Do that stuff from a secondary perspective. Spend time onsite before you go off site.

Blogging is not difficult but sometimes highly uncomfortable. Publishing a high volume of detailed content pushes you out of your comfort zone. Remember why you blog. Blog for fun and freedom to become prolific while outside of your comfort zone.

I rolled out of bed and dictated a blog post today. I’ve been doing this for the past few weeks. Even though it feels a little uncomfortable it also feels fun and freeing to help you and to build Blogging From Paradise with this content.

At the end of the day, content makes your blog go.

Conclusion

Bloggers who neglect publishing content never go anywhere of note.

Content makes your blog go.

Keep publishing detailed content that solves reader problems.

Be prolific. Edge outside of your blogging comfort zone.

Accelerate your blogging success by building your blog on a granite-like foundation.
