Convening Partners to Advance Health: Mind, Body, Community

At the Kaiser Permanente Community Health Summit we are convening policymakers, Community Health advocates and leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss innovative solutions to improve health for #MindBodyCommunity.

I’m looking forward to convening with city leaders to share learnings that are applicable across the United States. San Francisco Mayor London Breed, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs, Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and New York City’s first lady, Chirlane McCray, will join us for rich discussions about how smart policies can improve health.

As the former health commissioner of Chicago, I’m also excited to welcome and host a discussion with two leading health commissioners Dr. Oxiris Barbot of New York City and Dr. Barbara Ferrer of Los Angeles County. We’ll talk about the thread that knits mind, body, and community together.

Along with our partners, we will host a variety of conversations and hear from leaders across key issues about how they’re fostering health through policy, economic opportunity, and housing. As our understanding of Community Health evolves, we can create innovative solutions to address the most pressing issues. Through these efforts we can help people live healthier lives in the communities that we serve.
