Conviction Marketing: How to Step Into True Thought Leadership in 2022
Innovation and disruption are a key part of thought leadership online.
It’s the very thing that took my business from 6 to 7, to now multiple 8 figures.
If you want to be a leader in your space - you HAVE to be an innovator. Otherwise, you’re simply following what your competitors are doing (and doing it second best. And who wants that?)
You need to constantly be thinking about how you can give your audience a better, superior solution than they’re already used to. How you can fill gaps that haven’t yet been filled. How you can build YOUR authority, not someone else’s.
But, most online entrepreneurs are too worried about creating the perfect Instagram Reel, staying on top of trends, and going viral - instead of staying true to their message and attracting the RIGHT people to their brand.
They’re scared to do or say the wrong thing, and so they rely on “proven” tactics and topics.
But, posting a “viral” TikTok isn’t actually going to get you legitimate followers who turn into dream clients. Neither is using a copy-paste template that 100 other coaches are using.
You can’t look at these as the solution to your marketing woes. Because what they really are, are short-term wins.
But, when you understand real marketing and brand-building principles and execute them well, you CAN use different tactics and “hacks” to accelerate what’s already working. The key here is not to choose short-term wins at the expense of your long-term goals.
Hopping on every trend, every template, every other “guru’s” ways of doing things are only going to dilute your brand and build THEIR authority. And building their authority isn’t going to make YOU money.
You’re already an expert at what you do. Maybe marketing isn’t your strongest suit, but you get killer results for the clients in your programs and you have a proven track record of success (and years of experience to back it up).
So - how do you actually STAND OUT from the millions of people online who claim to be an “expert?”
The secret isn’t sexy or flashy. It doesn’t lie within a new platform or cutting-edge tactic.

Because it’s one thing to talk about what’s wrong. But it’s another thing to commit to doing what’s RIGHT.
When you lean into your convictions and fill a gap for your market that has never before been filled, you create raving fans who have been waiting for someone like you to show up and provide that superior solution they’ve been looking for.
Bottom line: not enough people are distinguishing themselves in the market. If you want to truly stand out, reinvent your space and position yourself as an expert authority, you have to fight the urge to do what everyone else is doing and be WILLING to do what they aren’t.
