📍 In Toronto, SYSTRA Canada is strengthening its presence on the creation of the Ontario metro Line🚇 by being entrusted with the role of integrator for the group, led by the OTG (Ontario Transit Group) consortium, made up of Ferrovial and VINCI.

Egypt: Line 3 of the Cairo Metro extended with SYSTRA
The extension of line 3 of the Cairo metro 🚇 is now fully operational, following the inauguration on 15 May 2024 of a third and final section by the Egyptian Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, and its entry into service on 20 May.
💚 The Cairo metro is an emblematic reference for SYSTRA in the creation and development of metro networks, in one of the most densely populated capitals in the world, which we are proud to support in its transition towards more sustainable mobility.

France: The RER E expands westwards in Paris
In the Paris region 📍, line E of the Regional Express Network (RER) is being extended to the west. Eventually, more than half a million passengers will use the RER E every day.
🚇 This extension consists of a deep tunnel under Paris and three new stations, highly technical infrastructures that foreshadow what the Grand Paris Express will be like in the coming years.
🤝 We are proud to have accompanied SNCF Réseau for more than 10 years, from the preliminary design phases through to the final stages of testing and commissioning. Congratulations to our SYSTRA France teams!
India: new success for the East Coast Railway
SYSTRA India will contribute to improving operations and mobility of East-Coast Railway, headquartered at Bhubaneswar/Odisha. We have been awarded the General Consultancy Services Contract by East Coast Railway, to support the project implementation across various projects under the Gati Shakti Program.
Peru: look back on the Cheves Hydroelectric Plant
💧The Cheves Hydroelectric Plant in Peru is a run-of-river hydropower plant that produces energy by directing the water of the Huaura and Checras rivers through turbines. It is a significant project in that it takes advantage of the regions natural surroundings to provide a sustainable energy supply.
On behalf of our client HOCHTIEF , SYSTRA was responsible for the detailed design of the underground structures and technical assistance and oversight during construction including around 20km of drill & blast tunnels (transfer, headrace, surge, access, and tailrace) and powerhouse complex with 2 large caverns.

France: partnership with the ESTACA
SYSTRA France has signed a partnership with the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile to join forces and find innovative solutions to the mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Every year, we recruit around ten people from ESTACA to work on our projects throughout France and abroad.

USA: Milestone in the New York metro upgrading programme
Two months ahead of schedule, the new escalator at DeKalb station in Brooklyn has opened, marking a significant milestone in the modernisation of the New York City's transit infrastructure, as well as enhancing customer safety and efficiency.
SYSTRA USA is working on this project with the Lead contractor Forte Construction Corp. for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Our Head of Innovation, Llewelyn Morgan, attended a National Highways talk about the launch of their open data platform, which was particularly fascinating. Our Director of Low Carbon Mobility, David Connolly, also featured on a fantastic panel session alongside experts Zeina Nazer, Andrew Crudgington, Mark Coates and Max Sugarman about how we pay for our roads going forward. David spoke about fuel duty revenue, unnecessary car use, and low emission vehicle uptake. 🚗

Our Head of Complex Bridges ME, Sanad Shamsan, P.E., S.E.. , delivered an inspiring presentation at the Roads, Bridges, Tunnels KSA Conference in Jeddah this week!
Sanad showcased a case study on an Extradosed Bridge, highlighting the innovative SYSTRA IBT alternate technique used in its construction. This project underscores the expertise SYSTRA brings to the infrastructure and transportation space, in both the region and Saudi Arabia.

SYSTRA-DDC JV had the privilege of hosting an insightful workshop focusing on the "Detailed Design of New Carriage and Wagon Workshop at Rajbari”, which was attended by the Hon’ble Minister Mr. Md. Zillul Hakim, Railway Minister of Bangladesh.
Australia & New Zealand: National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, providing an opportunity to celebrate the important role of volunteers in our community. In the lead up to National Volunteering week, our SYSTRA ANZ teams in Melbourne and Sydney participated in separate initiatives, putting time aside for couple of great causes.
In Melbourne, the team worked with Cancer Council Victoria to pack kits and mail orders at their warehouse while our team in Sydney worked with the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife to plant new fauna and assist with weed control.

The SYSTRA Asia teams from Hong Kong have had the Annual Dinner to celebrate the past year and discuss sustainable development in the region, expressing appreciation and gratitude for our colleagues’ contributions to company growth.
