Corona Coronaries - yes or no?
Here’s my two-cents worth on the Corona virus. I am probably part of the 1 million or so people who believe that this is blown out of all proportion, and that the world is in a mass hysteria. That is 1 million in about 8 billion, or 1 in a million. The other 999 999 in the million believe what the merchants of chaos (i.e. the Press) tell them. Shame on them. This hysteria will pass. All these things do.
Per my personal policies, I don’t put much attention on thing I cannot change. So, I continue to ignore the hysterical hype and carry on with my life and expanding my business to new levels.
In fact, while lots of others have their attention on this hype, and are not concentrating on their core businesses, it makes total sense to keep focused and to do what others are not doing – providing exceptional service and products and thereby expanding our businesses. I may just surprise a few competitors and get the jump on them while their attention is elsewhere – and that’s simply how things can be worked out in times of crises! I am going to continue to do that.
We will remain vigilant of ours' and others' health. We will comply with whatever laws there are - no matter if I consider these as over-reactions or not. I will provide hand sanitisers (got to find these first!), basic health and safety issues and training, and measuring peoples’ tempratures with non-contact thermometers. Masks and gloves will be provided where necessary and if the staff want them. Home isolation if they get sick or are with sick people. I won’t invite more than 92 people to a company party. We will spend more time working from the office than travelling.
For all staff and family - sufficient sleep, good nutrition, and frequent exercise.
We will still design dams, mine waste facilities, and dig holes in the ground for clients who have a longer-term view – there are still many sane people out there! There is a lot to do.
We will continue to flourish and prosper!
And screw the news. I have had enough! I refuse to lose any sleep over this, and I won't let stress bring on any coronary issues.
