Corona Virus - Thoughts...

Nature comes along and shows us who's the Boss, and he shows it elegantly this time - not with an earthquake, asteroid or hurricane, but with a microscopic virus that can't even live on its own. This virus manages to disrupt all aspects of life from the crashed economy all the way to the pasta shortages in Trader Joe's. The best minds in the world made up of millions of doctors and scientists trying to figure out who COVID-19 is and how long will it take to get rid of it... Whenever we think we are the masters of the world, nature reminds us that a part of it and also dependent on its mercy.

Another topic that many talk about - if only the climate had the same attitude that Ms. Corona receives, and there were daily reports of greenhouse gas emissions, how much ice has melted at the polar regions, what's the daily casualties with polar bears and rhinos, the air pollution damage to people and the struggle of climate refugees and how many died of its effects - and of course the damages are far beyond the corona's effects - I think the attitude towards the environment would be quite different.

Of course the impact is also very close to all of us, in my businesses we are moving to teaching online in an innovative set, adapting to the realities of planned trips and I too was supposed to be in a project in Tanzania next week, which was postponed. Long-established conferences and lectures? postponed. Super important meetings? postponed. Everything is waiting in the freeze until Ms. Corona COVID-19 lets us continue our lives.

Of course, we will get out of this, as soon as possible. The economy will be back on its feet, our trips will resume and the world will return to its ways. The most important question we ask ourselves after the storm is - what have we learned from that? will we regain some humility and respect for nature? or perhaps an important lesson for the next disaster? or perhaps we will return to being the "Master of the World" state of mind - just like a healthy person who very quickly forgets what it was like to be sick. For my part, I will continue to remind that we are not really "Masters of the World" but instead we depend on it throughout our being for our sake and survival. We can't live without it, and we should never forget that.

So how does the corona affect you? And what do you think?

Remember history seems to show a different association of the elements of "Climate Change" verses the "Corona Virus".   Climate has been changing since the earth, the solar system, the Galaxy, etc. begun their rotations - consider the conclusion of the approx. 40, 000 year single cycle of earth, etc..  The "Corona Virus" is seemingly due to "deliberate human attempt", deception, greed, and or carelessness.   In addition, there may be "holders of truth" who determine when humans are ready for suitable knowledge etc..  Liken to parents with children at various stages of the children's growth - not all adult knowledge at once for the child, it seems.   The hope is the seemingly "holders of truth" do have the best intentions and applications for humans, and not harm.
