Corporate Partner Spotlight: Aramark

Corporate Partner Spotlight: Aramark

At Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), we envision a world where all children have access to medical care and their families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care. Whether it’s through generous financial contributions, mission-critical product donations, cause-marketing campaigns or volunteering, our corporate partners are a vital part of RMHC.

This month, we’d like to honor our generous corporate partners, Aramark . Aramark’s employees and customers play a vital role in helping us keep families together when they need it most.

 4 Questions with Aramark

1. Why Does Aramark Partner with RMHC?

Aramark is passionate about serving families in need, which is reflected in our long-standing 45-year commitment to support local RMHC Chapters. At our core, we are rooted in service and strive to do great things for our people, our partners, our communities and our planet.

What better way to deliver on this goal than by partnering with RMHC? Our people drive our business. They have families, live in our communities, and at times, experience the same pain and heartache that comes with seeing children get sick. We know that receiving support can make a world of difference when dealing with the hardships of having a child who is sick. Aramark wants to help create impactful experiences.

2. Tell us more about how Aramark relates to the mission of RMHC.

There are definite synergies between our mission statements. Aramark believes in inspiring healthy lives and building vibrant communities, and RMHC creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families.

At Aramark, we engage employees in volunteer events and support community-based organizations whose work aligns with our mission. Together we build stronger communities, giving back where our teams live and work. We Care. We Give. We Do.

3. How has Aramark impacted RMHC?

Over the years, Aramark has supported several programs that have had a direct impact on thousands of RMHC families. The majority of our initiatives are executed by employee volunteers, including:

  • Aramark team participation in multiple Chicago Marathons
  • 1.5 million combined total of face masks distributed to all Ronald McDonald House programs throughout the U.S.
  • Sponsoring and/or providing raffle items for local RMHC events
  • Building ‘Healthy Meals on the Go’ kits
  • Food & toiletry drives as well as donations
  • Preparing and serving warm meals at local Ronald McDonald House programs
  • Participation in local RMHC walks and peer to peer fundraising events

Notably, Aramark has raised over $500,000 for RMHC, was the top donor for the Chicago Marathon 5 years in a row and was the final recipient of the RMHC “Big Red Shoe” when it was retired! Check out this fun video that highlights recent initiatives Aramark has completed in support of RMHC.

4. What is your favorite RMHC memory/moment of support that you are proud of?

Many of us have a personal tie to RMHC and either have used or have had a family member or friend that has used RMHC programs. Our pride comes from knowing that we are helping make a difference for families. Even one smile is a job well done!

If we had to pick one initiative we are the proudest of, it would be our face mask donation program early in the pandemic. When face masks were in short supply, we were able to donate face masks to every Ronald McDonald House program across the U.S. to help the organization support their families, staff and volunteers during the pandemic.

Ronald McDonald House Charities extends our sincere gratitude to Aramark for their support since 2001. Not only have they made significant financial contributions to help support our system, they have also given back through time, employee engagement opportunities and budget-relieving resources to help us further our mission.

Thank you, Aramark !
