The Cosmoprof conference in Las Vegas did not disappoint. As numerous posts have already been shared on trends from the conference, we’re highlighting four brands that we found stood out due to their thoughtful concepts, clear messaging, target market, and interesting or refreshing product experience.


1,200 booths in 3 days is a lot to conquer! While there wasn’t time to visit each and every brand or booth, we’re confident that there were many other fascinating discoveries to be made and will be shared by colleagues and market research groups in the industry.

Conference Insights

Hair Care is Fun!

Strolling through the aisles, it was clear that haircare brands are embracing playful and alluring colors and exhilarating fragrances outside of delivering high-level product performance. Hair products focused not only on the latest technology but also on the overall experience of product use and regimen. There’s plenty of inspiration to glean from walking the hair care aisles.


Innovation has Returned!

The presence of innovation was unmistakable at this conference. Brands are no longer solely relying on clean beauty, safe beauty, or conscious beauty as their only story. Backstories on the “why” a brand was developed, incorporating a more complete and thoughtful concept that threads the brand story through packaging, to formula and textures, to ingredients, to benefits and more was apparent in many brands vs a simple “contains” or “doesn’t contain” ingredient story.

Questionable Claims and Use Instructions!

There were a few brands making dubious claims, particularly those highlighting injectables. For instance, a brand promoting exosomes for both injection (there were real syringes at their booth) and topical use was a surprise to see at the conference. Another brand claimed immediate skin tightening effects with a topical product that reaches the dermis. Yes, they said, “reaches the dermis.” WOW!  These brands might be better suited for dermatology or plastic surgery conferences and these types of claims would be considered drugs, not cosmetics. Be careful out there!

What truly caught our eye was the serum collection—think beauty balms that are as delightful as they sound! Each serum is crafted with 100% natural ingredients and targets specific skin concerns, leaving skin with a radiant, youthful complexion.

And let’s not forget the components from Italy — absolutely exquisite and stunning.


MiXik A Fun Find at Cosmoprof Las Vegas

MiXik skin was an absolute delight to discover at Cosmoprof Las Vegas! This brand is the epitome of fun and smart skincare. Everything about it is straightforward and easy to use, with simple directions that make you instantly "get" the brand's vibe just by reading its tagline. Vegan, gentle mist skincare to simplify your routine!

There's nothing overcomplicated here, yet it's still incredibly intriguing, engaging, and alluring. You just want to grab their products and give them a try!

Their vegan, gentle mist skincare line is designed to simplify your routine. Imagine a cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer all in a simple spray application. The application is not only fun but also practical, with adorable "egg-shaped" over caps that are removable. You can change out the colors, trade with friends, and create a cute collection.

MiXik skin also teased the audience by pre-viewing an upcoming lip oil collection, adding even more excitement to their lineup.

Launching a brand with such a fun positioning proves that  skincare can be experiential, colorful, engaging, and super easy to use. Mixik skin is definitely one to watch!


Buddy Care

Think Bath & Body Works collections for your furry friends!  

Buddy care's pet care products are the ultimate in fun and colorful grooming. Their collections are all about sensorial interaction, with products that are alluring and engaging in look, feel, and scent.

This brand concept caught our attention. Although it is somewhat complex, it focuses on the overall wellbeing, the nervous system and rebalancing of the body.


As explained by the brand’s ambassador, the individual's overall wellbeing is assessed through a lifestyle questionnaire, and a combination of products are selected and applied to specific areas of the body. This process is called MEBI (Integrated Morphological Aesthetics Method), akin to Ayurveda elevated to a higher, clinical level.

Below is the process of product usage:

Evaluation: The client completes a lifestyle questionnaire to assess their condition.

Treatment Plan: Based on the evaluation, professionals recommend the best combination of products and personalized treatments to address specific conditions, such as rosacea, hair loss, dandruff, cellulite and more.

Formula Application: The selected products are massaged into specific areas of the body to enhance overall wellbeing and treat the condition through specific gateways on the body, whether applying to the liver area, the stomach, legs, or other body sections.
