Covering All Your Bases with Interactive Website Solutions

Covering All Your Bases with Interactive Website Solutions

“Automation is good, so long as you know exactly where to put the machine.”
- Eliyahu Goldratt

Attention is currency, and the person who holds their market’s the best is winning. This is precisely why it’s absolutely invaluable to have a website that captures and keeps the attention of your visitors. Web development has evolved many leaps and bounds from what it once was, and today you have many splashy interactive elements to incorporate across your website platform. Today we want to talk about just a few of them, so can have a website aesthetically pleasing, and intuitive in equal measure.

1. Animations

Animations are  great because they give your visitors a unique sensory experience. Many times, even the most subtle of animations can be powerful — Aim for grace and purpose instead of style over function. When done tastefully, animations can lead attention gently while filling and enhancing blank spaces, like a moving visual flowchart

2. Buttons

There’s something oddly alluring about buttons in the physical world. Our natural tendency is to want to press them! And on the web, they work the same way. These fun and useful interactive elements can be used for just about anything you want, just be sure that each one does what it says it will do, or else you risk losing the trust of your site visitors.

3. Forms

When a visitor fills out a form, they’re converted into a lead instantly. This is what makes them a particularly valuable interactive element for your site. The key is to remember to keep them very simple, and have content that makes your visitor want to give you their information.

4. Video

If you’re familiar at all with digital marketing, you’ve probably seen at least a few funnels—And video is the heart and soul of what makes funnels effective sales tools. A video embedded on your landing page will sell what you’re offering 24/7, 365 days a year, and your visitors are far more likely to remember the content in a video than they are with text alone. Consider having autoplay for your videos too, but with muted audio until the user enables it. This will draw visitor attention without annoying them from the get-go.

5. Quizzes

People love learning and talking about themselves, and short quizzes for finding out exactly which of your products will suit them best provides value for both you, and for visitors. First, it creates trust in what you’re offering because you are speaking directly to their pain points, and second, provides valuable data on who your customers are and what they want.

Visitors do seem to want more interactive content. Quizzes are great but only a skilled designer can programme them.
