Creating the funnel of YOU.

Creating the funnel of YOU.

As you may or may not know, I help busy business owners and Solo pros create powerful messages and help them utilize social media to take advantage of the organic leverage.

There are lots of ways I do this.

One of which is creating the Funnel of YOU.

What is the Funnel of You?

This is basically a very MESSAGE centric focus.

It's not overly concerned with lead generation (or even demand generation). It's not about volume or ecosystems (yet).

It's about creating attraction to your BIG idea.

It's about creating an audience.

It's about creating a movement.

To be clear, I don't even run this funnel on myself. I'm in the ecosystem building part of my offerings.

I guess you could say this is a form of Thought Leadership.

But, two things:

1. On social media, we are ALL in the Thought Leadership space, especially if you're looking to position better. So, it SHOULD be a part of your tool kit.

2. Whether you rely on it 100 percent or 10 percent, you need to understand how to utilize it.

Who wants a Funnel of You?

For those who know, deep inside that:

🔹More facts and figures isn’t how you standout.

🔹More info about your product isn’t how you stand out.

🔹More “value” isn’t how you stand out.

Take LinkedIn, Tok, Twitter, YouTube, IG, FB... how the heck are you going to stand out by giving MORE than the market?

You can't.

You do need to establish your credibility by showing what you know, how you do it, and proof of such things... and then after that?

Positioning

After that is YOU.

Your thoughts.

Your rally cry.

Your hill to die on.

The way you show up.

The way you express yourself.

What makes you upset?

What moves you?

So, let me ask you something...

What is your hill to die on?

Before I get too gooorooo-like, let me just say this.

The old way

In the past, before the EXPLOSION of social media marketers and solo pros and CEOs slinging their wares on all these platforms.

The strong drum beat of the time was that effective positioning was achieved by creating a unique selling proposition (USP) that sets your product/services apart from others in the minds of consumers.

Any client of mine will tell you when they start working with me, this is the VERY first thing we start with.

But... it's incomplete. It's a foundational piece, for sure, but it's not the golden, awe-inspiring cathedral that stands out.

New with the old

Positioning is not just about what you say about your services, but also about what others say and think about it.

And what others say and think about it is largely influenced by the largest bazaar planet Earth has ever known.

4.7 billion people show up every day to shop, hang out, sell, swap, fight, seek love, seek information, find themselves on SOCIAL MEDIA.

And you mean to tell me that simply having a killer USP is enough?

It can be.

But my clients are hungrier for more than just a few leads and exchange of money/goods scenarios.

They are hungry for a seat at the table.

To speak publicly.

To partner with amazing people.

To lead change.

To create something.

To be done with this tiresome "value" and thirsty selfie traps.

Even some of them just want a lucrative biz.

Well, even then... you stand out with your message, not your knowledge.

Need help to get started? Try this.

Create posts (better... make a video!) with these prompts:

⚫Here’s what I am and here’s what I’m not.

⚫Here’s what you can expect when working with me.

⚫I’m not for people who…

⚫I’m 100 percent for people who…

⚫This is what I see is wrong with...

⚫This is what keeps me up at night...

⚫You have a problem  Here’s how my solution compares to others. And here's how I developed this solution.

Try the prompts today. Clear your mind and allow what your gut is yearning to say.

And you'll start to see a powerful message come to the shore.

And now...

With that I say unto you...

Get back to work.

A fantastic message Doug Lawson! Let’s take that seat at the table. Better yet, let’s organise our own table!
