On 8th November, Mariano and Jamie, Crewit employees, had the opportunity to meet with Betty Escoria Baquero, the newly appointed Colombian Ambassador to Ireland, for a working lunch.

The primary goal of the meeting was to discuss and plan CIBA’s agenda and priorities for 2025, with the aim of aligning these with the Embassy’s initiatives, and fostering stronger bilateral ties between Colombia and Ireland.

One of the key points discussed was Colombia’s Tourism Development Plan, and the removal of visa requirements for Colombian citizens. Other important topics included creating a bilateral agreement for the mutual recognition of driver’s licenses and organizing a trade mission to Colombia.

3. Crewit recruited 55% of the Colombian workforce into Ireland in 2024.

Crewit is now the only international recruitment company in Colombia with a government license to recruit staff for positions abroad.

In 2022, Crewit established our Bogota headquarters; after months of building partnerships and overcoming challenges, we obtained our international recruitment license and began operations.

In 2023, the Irish government approved 76 employment permits for Colombian citizens, 29 of which were granted to workers we had placed.

Crewit has successfully placed 50 Colombian citizens in Ireland, representing 55% of the total work permits issued that year.

These achievements helped strengthen our relationship with the Irish Embassy in Colombia and led to the decision to establish our Bogotá office as the regional headquarters for South American candidates.

In 2024, Crewit successfully placed 50 Colombian citizens in Ireland, representing 55% of the total employment permits issued to Colombian citizens for Ireland in 2024.'

This marks a 72.4% growth in our operations and further reinforces our belief that Colombia is an excellent source of highly educated and skilled workers with a mindset and work ethic that aligns closely with the Irish culture.

4. Welcome to Ireland - Candidate Stories

When we say that Crewit Resourcing goes above and beyond for our clients, we truly mean it and act accordingly.

We work with heart, aiming to be the best in our job, and to be the best, we must listen, ask hundreds of questions, understand the position we are filling, and respect the wishes of our clients. By this, I mean both employers and candidates, professionals in their field who know exactly what they want.

One such professional is Dellroy. Katarina met Dellroy three years ago when he applied for a position, I was advertising for one of our clients at the time.

Katarina Milkovic meets Dellroy.

Unfortunately, back then, I couldn’t help Dellroy got the job he applied for, but I still remember our entire conversation and my promise to help him come to live and work in Ireland.

Dell is an excellent Quality Engineer with an extensive and impressive background in the field of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) within the engineering and construction industry, including controlled environments.

I know it has been three years, but a promise is a promise. Dell landed in Dublin on the 22nd May 2024; Katarina finally met Dellroy face-to-face and had a chat over coffee. On 27th May 2024, he started working for one of our reputable clients. It is a special feeling to be able to fulfill someone's wish.

The wish to come to Ireland and contribute to Irish society with his knowledge and experience. Dell, we wish you much success and want you to know that our doors are always open to you.

Welcome to Ireland.
