Criticism is unpleasant, offensive, vulnerable. It undermines our self-esteem, causes emotional discomfort, leads to loss of energy, demotivates and leads to despair. But we must understand that the person who criticizes us is not always justified. Sometimes people insult us because they want to assert themselves, do not want you to be better than them, do not believe in you because they have not achieved anything in life, pessimistic.

But there are situations when we really do something wrong, and in such situations, constructive criticism will help you correct your mistakes, improve yourself or your work. Sometimes it is useful to hear an opinion from the outside.

So, here's when you need to listen to criticism:

- You often hear from different people the same wishes addressed to you.

- The person who expresses an evaluative opinion to you is from your close circle and really wishes you well.

- The opinion is expressed from your interaction with a person, not in relation to personality, appearance or actions that have nothing to do with this person.

-There are clear and specific facts that confirm the adequacy of the opinion expressed.

- When checking the internal filters, the role of which is performed by the question:

"Is this about me?" - you answer, yes.

How to tell a person about a mistake without offending him:

- Tell the person about his wrong actions and do not go to the personal level.

- Before saying something unpleasant to a person, compliment him or praise him.

If you are criticized, analyze this criticism if it is justified, then it may be worth listening to and improving yourself or your work, if not so, not pay attention to it. Remember you should listen to those you would like to be like.

If you criticize a person, remember that everyone can be wrong. Therefore, it is necessary to treat remarks wisely in order to encourage the person and not to demotivate, and then you will be able to get positive results.
