Crossrail 2, which is promoted by Transport for London and Network Rail, has issued an update statement in light of the current finances of TfL. The funding agreement between the government and TfL from 31 October 2020 contains a commitment by TfL regarding Crossrail 2 that TfL “prioritises safeguarding activity and brings an orderly end to consultancy work as soon as possible. DfT will support such safeguarding activity for this project as required.”
