Company of the week: Electric Racing Technologies ERT Formula E Team

Our highlighted Company of the Week is Electric Racing Technologies who compete in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

ERT recently enjoyed one of its most triumphant weekends in Formula E history. The weekend begun with Dan Ticktum securing their best result on a Saturday race which was followed up by Sérgio Sette Câmara's impressive sixth-place finish on Sunday.

These remarkable feats have propelled the team back into ninth place in the standings as they gear up for the Monaco race in two weeks. The team showcased impeccable strategy which was flawless executed by both drivers making it an excellent team effort in Rome.

Keep your eyes peeled on Formula E this season as Electric Racing Technologies continue their climb up the leader board.

The EV industry continues to grow and evolve, with numerous companies making big news. Here are the latest developments in the world of EV:

🔌 Tesla has announced plans to reduce its workforce by 10%. CEO Elon Musk cited the need to streamline operations and cut costs as the primary reasons for the layoffs, which are expected to affect over 14,000 employees.

🔌 Aston Martin is stepping back from its previous commitment to offering only electric vehicles by 2030. Chairman Lawrence Stroll stated that the company will continue selling internal-combustion engine vehicles beyond the next decade, emphasizing an ongoing demand for such vehicles.

🔌 Rimac has revealed plans to supply next-generation battery packs for BMW EVs. Further details will be disclosed later, with Rimac anticipating itself as the establishment of sophisticated automated production lines for batteries.

🔌 Andretti has inaugurated a new facility at Silverstone as part of its preparations to enter Formula 1. This versatile workspace will accommodate various manufacturing facilities, including pattern and model shops, machine shops, ADM, electronics, and R&D facilities.

🔌 LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) has launched an initiative to counter reduced UK Government incentives for the electric taxi market. The initiative includes a £1,500 deposit contribution and subsidized finance options, aiming to encourage the adoption of cleaner transportation alternatives in the UK.
