Current NHS dental contract ‘can’t go on much longer’, says dentist
We heard from one principal dentist who shares why he continues to carry out NHS dentistry despite losing money and the reform he hopes to see from the new government.
This comes as statistics show nearly one in four (24%) people tried and failed to get an NHS dental appointment in the last two years.
In addition, when asked why they were unable to get one, most (42%) said their practice was not taking new NHS patients. One third (36%) also said there were no appointments available.
