Current situation. Reflection. Be strong! Be Positive! Reach out.
Over the last two weeks, I have been speaking to 20 people daily, i've been on multiple webinars and ran a couple and I have concluded some black books notes from my learnings.
We’ve got two choices here, we wait until the dust settles or we become part of making things better.
The one thing I see the winners do right now is to take advantage of this time to brush up skills (sharpen the sword) and improve their skills, script off their pitch, strategically plan the content, create a personable brand, offer your clients a service and refine elements of the business that may have lagged previously.
My advice is not to wait, times will rebound and become better. Don’t be caught playing catch up on the ones that take advantage of this reset.
Be clear online/phone on what you can do and how you can help, keeping lines of communication up. Use this time to connect with those you’ve lost connection with and schedule a video call with them to catch, try 5 new connections a day.
Communication is really crucial in these times. Try and go above and beyond.
Use these days to research how others see your brand and how you can truly differentiate yourself from competitors in a positive light. Right now we need to think about client development at this moment. How do we offer them a service rather than selling to them!
Society today has become massively reliant on technology to communicate more than ever, and just as the world has changed, so does marketing and advertising and methods you're business uses to communicate and market to potential prospects and now is the time to nurture that relationship more than ever.
Now is your time to step up, despite the lack of motivation. I’m looking at it as half time and I’m on the bench and reflecting on what I can do to better myself. I’m constantly asking myself and the team how do we set up foundations now for where you want to be in six months?
Eventually, things will get back to normal eventually, things will normalise. It may be different, and there may be a new normal, but the world will stabilise on all fronts.
And the second question is in six months from now where will we be and where do you want you’re business to be?
I encourage you to use this time to change for the best and get ahead of the rest.
