Cushman & Wakefield Retail Leasing Bulletin | March

Cushman & Wakefield Retail Leasing Bulletin | March

Our team is starting to see a positive transition and shift in the market, with the relaxing of Covid restrictions, re-opening of our international borders, and the recommendation for Victorians to work or study from home now removed.

This week, Metro Trains patronage has returned to 40% and is expected to reach 65% by May/June. Re-opening the international borders should result in a large influx of students as well as tourists, just in time for the Grand Prix. The Government has also just announced another business stimulus package of $100 million in Melbourne Money, to support businesses and entice Victorians back to the CBD.

This month our team were pleased to finalise a variety of leases on behalf of our clients, with highlights including: Level 1, 272-282 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne to Boiling Crab and Fish, as well as 198-202 Little Collins Street on behalf of City of Melbourne.

We are excited to launch new retail leasing opportunities to the market, being: 224 La Trobe Street, 189-191 Bourke Street, Melbourne & 200 Victoria Street, Carlton.
