Customer Feedback Beading & Jewelry Making Supplies Beading

NCB Natural Stone Beads 100pcs 8mm

  1. I have been buying these beads because the quality is great, what's not so great is that I am always shorted beads. I get between 70-80 which is a big deal when your making jewelry for resell. I do not appreciate this I will find other sellers because it's not fair to keep lying about the amount of product. I really hope you guys can sort this out because you have beautiful product but not going to keep buyers with false advertising.
  2. I made a bracelet of rose quartz from the seller. I usually wear all my bracelets into the shower as I hardly ever take them off. After one day in the shower I noticed the pink was coming off. Now the beads are just white. It appears they are just quartz beads dyed pink.
  3. These beads are beautiful, but as I was stringing them to make a Mala, I noticed that blue dye was coming big off onto my fingers and the white cord. I thought these were real blue lapis lazuli. I can’t, in good conscious, sell this Mala to a client and risk their clothes getting ruined. I had also ordered beads from this same vender in red, and when they arrived, they looked orange. Again, I had to return because my client wanted red. Very disappointed.

The Beadsmith Extra Wide Metal Bead Loom Kit, Includes Loom (12.5" x 2.5" x 3")

  1. This was my first attempt at loom beading, and this loom was perfect! One review said it was too hard to put together, but if putting a screw through a hole and putting a wing nut on the end is too hard, then I feel like loom beading isn’t for you... with this loom, you can make pieces longer than the loom itself, which was perfect for the hatband I wanted to make. The beads that came with it are okay for practicing, and the thread tangles easily. I practiced with the supplied materials before starting my actual project (the beads and string pictured were purchased separately). I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to try out loom beading!
  2. This bead loom is wonderful for the price. I'm a beginner and didn't want to get anything too fancy before seeing if I even like doing this type of stuff. I don't see myself getting another loom for a very long time because it's pretty solid. I do have a few tips though
  3. Be prepared to bend this sucker outwards. As it is, you really don't have much room from one end of the loom to the other. My first project was about 5 inches long before I ran out of space. (This included being so close to the end that it actually pulled the project apart somewhat.) If you're like me and have a bigger wrist, that just won't cut it. I bent the metal outwards as evenly as I could on both sides and was able to expand my projects by about 3 inches. I could probably get a bit more out of it, but I'll hold off for now. It does make the loom sit much higher, but I found it helped bring the work closer to my face, which allowed me to sit straighter and not strain my back as much. It's wobbly, and it moves. Even prior to bending it myself, the loom did not sit flat on the table. One corner always sits just a bit higher than the other 3. It's not a horrible issue to deal with, but it's there. Also, unless you have a slip-proof surface to use this one, it will move around. I work on wooden tables with no kind of mat or cloth underneath, so at first I was fighting the loom as it cruised around my workspace. You can get used to it after a while, but you might want a slip-proof mat to place under it. The wooden dowels hold really well. I was afraid that bending the frame would knock them loose or make them spin, but it didn't. As long as you secure them like they're meant to be, you shouldn't have any issues. It does what it was intended to do. There's no fancy way to thread your warps. You'll have a boatload of threads to deal with after you cut your piece loose. There is virtually no information on how to use the loom. (I recommend YouTube videos.) It's a basic, entry-level loom for anyone who wants to try it out before going all in with a fancy one.
  4. The loom is very nice. Disappointed in the beads though. I would advise anyone buying this loom to urchase Miyuki beads. he beads in this kit had an inner diameter that was too small. Many of them broke.I still gave this item 5 stars because the loom was my main purchase. The loom is made very well

Mandala Crafts 1mm 109 Yards Jewelry Making Beading Crafting

  1. Spool snapped in half after first use. I'd call this lightly waxed thread. Seed beads and similar sized beads were tricky to get threaded. I had to keep snipping the end to get a fresh, unfrayed end, then gently twist it through the bead. If I licked the end to bring the frays back together, the wax was removed. That being said, this is awesome for simple projects not intended for sale. The wood beads of my mala rubbed the wax coating off in about a month, which then lead to poofy bits sticking out between the beads. Photo is newly strung bracelet with similar beads.
  2. I ordered three spools of this cord with the intent of using it for macrame jewelry. The colors were good, the price is right but the savings are not worth the quality. It is not usable for jewelry or anything that would require sealing a lot of ends. I spent a few hours working with it and the feel is not bad. I will probably use it for something like sewing leather or kids crafts but I would not make anything for sale with it. Any ends will have to be glued or otherwise finished as they can't be burned to seal. Very unfortunate.

UOONY 35000pcs Glass Seed Beads and 250pcs Alphabet Letter Beads

  1. This is Emily's Husband. I'm writing this review on her behalf because I have a few hours to kill and decided (what the hell, why not) . I'm not really sure what she bought or why she did in the first place. I personally think you guys are wasting your time reading this, but I guess that's on you. It's sunday, I have a beer in front of me, the sun is out, life is good. I enjoy doing crap like this and frankly, it makes for a good story I can tell my buddies at work Monday. I have to go now. My wife is coming outside.
  2. Don't buy these beads. Amazon's Choice? WHAT? I need to be a bead tester. I strung these on an elastic and wore is for 4 days. The beads lose their color. The maroonish/purple ones first and then the rest. The beads that are translucent don't lose the color but the obviously painted ones certainly do even after the company wrote back to me and assured me that this would not be the case unless "I scratched them with a knife!" I make heirloom jewelry that is beautiful and is supposed to last for decades. Where have all the great bead companies gone?
  3. I love these! before you buy you should know these are knows as “seed beads!” a lot of people seem confused when they bought this kit (i wanted seed beads so i love my purchase). seed beads are small and very pretty! i love these beads. they are very beautiful! just know when buying- the string you buy won’t fit the beads. i bought different string to make bracelets. secondly, i personally did not get the pendants they advertised! me and my mom both bought a kit and only hers came with them. that’s why they got 4/5 stars, otherwise i would have given them a 5/5! truly love this product other than the no pendants! will be buying again in future when i run out! i just how they fix the problem with the no pendants. i recommend!
  4. These beads are tiny, which is exactly what I wanted for making eyes for fly tying. As with most inexpensive beads there are some irregularities to be expected. Some beads will be shorter or longer than the average in the box. They are all still 2mm but the cut of each bead is not always exact. Personally I like this as it gives a unique look for my uses. This 2 box set is probably enough beads for multiple lifetimes for my uses. The additional alphabet beads and charms are cute and I hope to find someone to give them to because it would be a shame for them to be wasted. The stretchy material that was also included I have tried incorporating into some midge flies and it works well, so I am really happy to find a new product that I can add to my never ending supply of fly tying material

The Beadsmith Bead Board with Cover & Grey Flocked

  1. New to beading, love it! Started in late March when wracking my brains re: gifts for dear friends of 40 yrs for our annual "Aries Party" in April (we're all 🐏!) But as we're now in mid-50s & already have what we need/want - in fact we're all downsizing, from knickknacks to houses! - makes it hard to find good gifts. So while surfing Amazon for ideas, came across beautiful loose ceramic beads & impulsively bought all the basics for making bracelets. I put together the bracelets, also adding some lava beads & bought essential oils to dab on them. It took many hrs & moments of frustration, (thank God for YouTube!) but learned a lot. I customized them to reflect each friend's personality, including the oils - a great "shared" gift, made one for me too - & couldn't believe what a good job I did, lol! But it was maddening when the beads often took off for parts unknown😤, or when I changed my mind on design, etc. So finding this board was a Godsend now that I'm starting on necklaces! It's well made, self-explanatory & LOVE the ability to save my work w/out worry (especially from my two curious, "oooh, it's playtime!" cats😅). Can't beat the inexpensive price either, especially considering the time & aggravation it saves you. Really, it's a must-have!😍📿
  2. Very flimsy and lightweight. Not well designed or thought out. I thought it might make life a little easier but I was doing fine just using the lid of the large tin I keep my beads in and a washcloth to keep the beads from rolling around, and a tape measure; at least there’s an edge there that keeps the beads from rolling off the whole tray. The lid, which was the main reason for buying this, is pretty stupid: it doesn’t stay put on when there are beads on the tray, and you can’t remove it and place the tray in it; you have to find somewhere else to put it. It certainly does NOT “snap on”, nothing “snap” about it.
  3. Lets start with the positives: The tray is perfect, just what I expected and wanted. So, I'm happy with the tray. I have a bit of concerns with the lid though: It is not really a tight fit and you can't have any beads in the long openings in the tray as the lid will not close if you do; you have to put all beads in the bigger holes, which is a bit annoying if you want to close the tray at the planning stage. However, I don't think this is specific to this tray so please don't skip it because of that - I think this is how most of these trays work. I would definitely recommend the tray - good quality, good design and good size.

  5. First let me say this is a plastic tray, with a plastic cover. Not thin plastic the thickness is good but it is plastic. The only place I will use it to travel with it will be from table to couch. I would not feel confident that my work would be protected in this for travel, now to take with you to work on something while your away great for that. It is fuzzy to the touch has great measurements and channels, also bead pockets to hold what your working on. I am sure I will buy a few more. I did not give five stars for sturdiness or portability because of reasons stated and because I will not be using this tray that way but I am sure some do and you could if you wanted to. I like this little addition to my collection.

Including 6 Pcs Big Eye Beading Needles + 20 Pcs Long Straight Beading Thread Needles

  1. I only work with glass seed beads right now or very small beads. So far they work great. They are a tad flimsy but as long as you are not going hay crazy and bending the p*ss out of them they work pretty darn good. As a sewer I notice there there is one large needle that is for sewing but works great for larger beads-very sturdy and no give/bend what so ever. All of these have decent size heads on them for threading - better than most sewing needles in my opinion. Would I purchase again.... yes as a crafter. Would I recommend for these for people who make jewelry for selling/large volumes... no. If youre a crafter who works with beads here and there like me these will work just fine.
  2. I was kind of leery about buying these needles, with all the mixed reviews - but they're working great for me! I use them to thread 4mm crystals on beading thread. The crystals have a 1mm opening, and sturdier needles weren't passing through. I've used both the needles that hold the thread in the middle, and the top hole needles and both work great! I'm not sure why others are breaking theirs so easily, as I've not broken one yet. The tube they come in is great for storing them, as they are so fine, I wouldn't want to keep them in a pin cushion. Yes, they're kind of flimsy, but with the small circumference, I can't see how else they could be made. I really like mine (and the variety of lengths!)
  3. I thought these would be Large eye needles and fairly sturdy. Instead they are very difficult to use and keep hold of, and would never be possible for me to thread with the tiny eye they have. I can’t get the large eye ones open to even look at If you’re looking for something that disabled hands can use, don’t get these.
  4. Great product easy to use these needles was not flimsy at all I actually use theses with my thicker string to make a bracelet it was great and I got a lot of needles more than I was expecting I read 26 pieces but I feel like it's more it fine every type of wire and elastic I have great East and smart buy right her
  5. needed these needles to bead my wedding dress because all of the needles I have at home were too big to fit through seed beads. These worked great, they fit through the tiny seed beads I have and others. After prolonged use, I did notice my needle was SLIGHTLY bent, barely noticeable and it didn't break.
  6. Notes:
  7. -fit through tiny seed beads
  8. -all of the needles fit in the tube it comes with
  9. -everything pictured was included
  10. -the eye of the needle is too small to use the threader it comes with.
  11. -a little flimsy, just be gentle

Perler Beads Bead Tweezer Tools, 2 pc 4.25 Inch

  1. work at a daycare center and the kids do Perler beads almost daily. At first we had nothing but these plastic tweezers for them to use, but I quickly learned that they're not the most durable thing when they're being used a lot. After a while the tweezers lost their "spring" and would stay closed if you pressed them to grab beads. I think this is because the plastic was getting worn out from use. Eventually they would just break. After many months we went from 6 plastic tweezers to only 1 pair. Purchased fine-point metal tweezers used for small electronics boards instead and they have been much more durable (and they were cheaper, surprisingly!) These are good for many one child who only does beads every once in a while. If you're going to use them with any sort of frequency, be prepared to buy multiple packs.
  2. I am an avid artist, and do projects almost weekly. Lately, I have been including my younger nephew in some of my beading crafts and these tweezers have been a life saver! He was in love with the green color and could easily grasp the them in his hands. Mind you he is nine years old. I also used them in another project of my own and can attest that regardless of hand size these should fit comfortably in virtually any hand big or small. Since we both love the tweezers for beading it was awesome that they come in a pack of two. The neon green color stands out. Even though they are for art use, I did use them one day to apply my individual eyelashes. The result was amazing! These tweezers can hold just about anything no matter how small. Neither pair has broken yet. They are one of my favorite pairs to use for beading now. It Definitely went beyond my expectations, especially for the price. My nephew and I both enjoy using them for any protect we can get our hands on. I seldom come across cheap products that are actually worth buying again, but this is one product I already know I will order again and again.
  3. Would this be a must have for an avid Bead sprit enthusiast? Probably yes. However, while having the Perler brand on, it feels flimsy. I could break it if I was reckless but if stepped in it would totally break (which may be okay considering this item comes in two).Noticing I have shaky hands, it is quite hard to set the beads down so I would not recommend to use the tweezers for a blank peg board. Using this would be good for filling your projects so you don’t shift it or need to switch out beads.
  4. One thing to keep in mind is that some Perler Kits (like the Legend of Zelda shield kit) comes with a tweezer. With the perler brand, I expected more but it does what it needs and you get what you need.
  5. My daughter and I are avid Perler bead enthusiasts. We make magnets, ornaments, cupholders and more every single day. It's her favorite craft. Imagine her dismay when the old plastic tweezers she had were accidentally stepped on and broken. I decided to order a replacement set from Amazon, not realizing that it was a 2 piece set until they arrived. I was the conquering hero, "Mom! You got two sets! One for me AND you! We don't have to share any more! "The tweezers are lightweight, durable, and easy to use. I especially like to scoop two beads onto the posts of my tweezers and drop two into the perler frame at once. Go go gadget, craft-mom!
  6. These tweezers came in a timely matter thru the U. S mail. These are a lifesaver if you are doing any perler patterns. They came in a package of two but I wish I had ordered more. For plastic they are very durable and I can see using them for Rhinestones or seed pearl. However I bought them for my Grandsons Perler projects. They easily pick up the perler’s and put them where you want them. I am probably going to buy more.
  7. I This is the second set of these tweezers that I bought because the kids wanted to use them at the same time. The hold up very well if taken care of. You do need to be careful when using them you can't pull apart to far or it will snap. These are used for daycare kids to stay busy during naptime so they are used almost daily and have stood up very well to constant use.
  8. Kids are loving perler beads and they want to make more complicated ones lately. These perler beads tweezers can pick two beads at a time which saves a lot of time when you are making a big stuff! My 4 yr old has a bit harder time using it but my 6 yr old loves using it... And I do too.If you get a huge box of perler beads, I think you should get tweezers too!
