Customer Testimonials: Powerful Sales and Marketing Tool

Customer Testimonials: Powerful Sales and Marketing Tool

The success of your business depends heavily on word of mouth. Customer experiences and feedback carry a lot more weight than what a company has to say about itself.

As you know, people will not do business with you if they don’t trust you and find you to be credible. Testimonials are extremely powerful tools when it comes to strengthening your branding. Testimonials are written or recorded statements that support your credibility and level of expertise. They also strengthen your reputation by expressing the trust that other people have in you and your business offerings. Testimonials aren't salesy and a good one has the power to convince even your "tough sell" visitors that your product really made a difference in your customer's life and can help them, too.

Testimonials work, and video testimonials work even better. Video is such a powerful vehicle to communicate experience, and using it strategically will work wonders for any business. Video touches people visually and emotionally and written testimonials touch people emotionally and mentally. Furthermore, video seems to offer a higher degree of authenticity as it allows viewers to see and hear from a client delivering the testimonial, adding a layer of veracity that text alone doesn’t provide.

The more online visibility and stronger reputation you have and continue to maintain, the stronger your business will become. Thus, leverage your loyal customers by asking them to provide testimonials about your business. Giving your partners and customers the opportunity to offer their opinions adds a powerful layer of transparency to your brand. Obviously, testimonials add credibility, validity and integrity to your business.
