Cypho's December in Review

Cypho's December in Review

Your Cypho team have been working gracefully for the past 40 days to end 2024 with high notes. To deliver the best value, we divided our production into two parts:

  1. Introduce new functionalities
  2. Improve existing functionalities

So, here are the coolest updates we launched to Cypho this December.

Activities page

Activities page

Starting off big with the Activities functionality because this has been one of the most requested functionalities by you. Activities functionality notifies you over the course of the latest updates that are happening to your assets.

Activities are created under these conditions:

  • New issues created
  • Issue status changes
  • Issue received a new comment
  • New request category created

Activities allow you to act proactively about request categories and issues. Clicking on each activity will take you to the given issue page. You can mark Read and Unread each activity to have better control over your activities page.

Issue comments

Understanding the importance of issue management, we brough two new functionalities to issues:

Add file to issue comments

Previously, only our analysts could add files to issue description. New Add file to issue comments allows you to combine your team's finding with generated details enrich issue details. Since files are added to issue comments, your all team members will be notified of the new uploaded files on the Activities page.

Ask analyst to issues

Continuous communication with security analyst is another key component for the security of your assets.

To ensure continuous communication with our security analysts, we developed assigning analysts to issue comments. Just click the Ask analyst icon on the issue comments section and click the Send button. Our analysts will be notified of each assigned comment right away.

You can also click the Ask analyst button to view comments that between your team and our analysts. This functionality helps you store team communication and analyst communication in separate forms.

Vulnerability Search for Asset Technologies

Your digital assets and their associated technologies are always at risk of exposure. Weaknesses in these technologies can threaten your organization. To help you stay prepared, we developed the Vulnerability Search for Asset Technologies feature.

This feature identifies vulnerabilities in the technologies used in your environment and automatically creates issues under the Exploitable Ports Monitoring category, saving you from sifting through thousands of vulnerabilities.

To use this feature, you need to add your asset technologies to Cypho. Enter the technologies and their versions on the Asset > Technologies page.

Expanded monitoring sources

Because the diversity of monitoring sources is vitally important for protection, we prioritized integrating additional sources into our monitoring process. New source integrations include allow for broader monitoring and scanning of your assets across an expanded range of platforms.

Upload Favicon/Logo

Upload logo and favicon

Uploading a favicon or logo enhances your brand protection experience. These files improve asset discovery and detection of impersonating profiles, domains, and applications in the brand protection and attack surface management modules.

To upload your logo, navigate to Account Settings and select the Brands tab.

Issues details pagination

Issue pagination

Along with functional improvements, we focused on enhancing your overall experience with Cypho. As part of this effort, we introduced pagination on the Issue Details page. Previously, you had to return to the Issues table to view other issue details pages. Now, you can simply use the > Next and < Previous icons to switch between issue details pages seamlessly.

Issues by Categories Graph on Dashboard

Issues by categories

The Dashboard provides a bird's eye view of your asset scanning and detection experience. To make it even more insightful at a glance, we’ve introduced the new Issues by Categories graph. This feature displays the number of issues created under each request category, giving you a better understanding of your asset monitoring process.

Sources Challenge

We are excited to announce our very first Sources Challenge among our community. This is for cyber security professionals or enthusiasts who knows intelligence sources. This is a reward-based challenge, where you will be evaluated on the quality, relevance, and technical depth of the proposals. Highest scores will get $200 reward.
