DAILY DEVOTIONALS SUMMARY WEDNESDAY MAY 22, 2024.

1. Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Open Heavens, RCCG

Topic : What Is Your Focus?

Text : Colossians 3:2, Colossians 3:1-4

Food for thought : Search your heart; what really are you focused on?

Lesson: In life, where you place your focus determines what you gain in the end. Those who focus on less important things lose a whole lot in the end. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things shall be added to you. Focus on the eternal things, and the temporary things will follow. So, shift your focus from temporary desires to eternal values.

2. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, Daily Manna, DCLM

Topic : Retribution For Rebellion

Text : Revelation 16:21, Revelation 16:13-21

Food for thought : God’s love for His own is boundless; His wrath against His foes, endless.

Lesson: God has set a day when He will judge humanity. Today, man may appear to be having unrestrained freedom with sin, failing to pay attention to His warning of the coming judgment day. But gradually and certainly, the day of retribution for the rebellion and sinfulness of man is closing in. There will be no way of escape or hiding for the guilty when that day comes. Today is a day to decide on whose side you will be. The willing and obedient will eat the good of the land while those who rebel “shall be devoured.

3. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Rhapsody Of Realities, Christ Embassy.

Topic : Dislodge Them

Text : Jude 1:6, Ephesians 6:12; 12, 1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 10:4;

Food for thought : We have the authority in the Name of Jesus to dislodge and dispossess demons of their hold and sway over nations and the lives of men.

Lesson: Our world contends with demons that influence human affairs and perpetuate evil. Every so often, use the Name of Jesus against them and put a stop to the works of these demoniacal entities. Forbid them from influencing things in your life, in your home, in your environment, city and nation. Cast them out in the Name of Jesus!

4. Dr D.K. Olukoya, Mountain Top |Daily Devotional, MFM.

Topic : Is Your Name in The Book of Life?

Text : Revelation 20:15, Revelation 20:11-15,

Food for thought : Whatever it will cost you, ensure your name is not deleted from the Book of Life.

Lesson: Truly, no one has the privilege of living forever. If you know this fact and believe it, then, you have to be extremely careful how you live your borrowed life. Beloved, hellfire is a terrible place to end. Anybody living a life of sin; anyone who has no fear of God and living for the flesh, the world and satan; and whosoever is rejecting Jesus Christ here on earth can never have their names in the book of life. Ensure your name is in the Book of Life!

5. Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Wisdom For The Day, TREM

Topic : The Importance Of Order In Life

Text : Exodus 25:8.9, Genesis 1:1-25; Exodus 25:1-8,40

Food for thought : Our God is a God of order. Everything He does is with precision. He expects all His children to live a life of order.

Lesson: Let all things be done decently and in order." . Order speaks of having a plan and imbibing the culture of excellence. As a new creation in Christ, do not live a disorganized life. Be determined to introduce order into your life. Build a system for yourself. Don't just

live anyhow. Have a schedule. Plan your time and your money. Order will make your life beautiful.

6. Dr Pastor Paul Enenche, Seeds Of Destiny DIGC

Topic : Evil Money Kills

Text : Jeremiah 17:11

Food for thought : Avoid evil money because it leads to untimely death.

Lesson: Do not desire to make money by all means, including dubious ways. That is evil money.

What God does not give you, you do not need it. Make up your mind never to fall into the temptation of getting money the evil way. Be content with what God has given you and work with your hand to access supernatural abundance.

7. Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe, Our Daily Manna, MPM

Topic : The Six Rats: “It Is Settled!”

Text : 1 Peter 1:23, Psalm 119:80-89

Food for thought : Share with me this short puzzle: “You just came into the house and saw six rats. The 1st rat was eating your B.Sc Certificate, the 2nd rat was eating your NYSC Certificate, the 3rd rat was eating your Marriage Certificate, the 4th rat was eating your land and house documents, the 5th rat was eating your Visa to travel for a multi-million dollar project, and the 6th rat was eating your Bible. If you were to kill the rats, which of the six rats would you kill first?

Lesson: When facing challenges, prioritize the Word of God above all else, for it stands the test of time and has the power to restore what was lost. Remember, where your treasure lies, there your heart will be also. God's Word, settled in heaven, can settle any battle you face on earth.

8. C.A.C: The Living Water

Topic : Take Care Of Your Timothy

Text : Philippians 2:20, Philippians 2:19-24

Food for thought : Taking care of those under your guidance is taking care of your own life, future and legacy.

Lesson: Every leader has someone like Timothy to succeed him/her. This "Timothy" includes your children, junior workers, co-workers, students, apprentices, and others under your influence. Seeing potential in and nurturing the young ones around you ensures a promising future generation. The "Timothy" beneath you is the one who will look after you when you are old, or unable to accomplish anything. Later in life, you will rely on Timothy to look after you. Mentor and guide your "Timothy".

9. The Daily Fountain. Anglican Communion

Topic : What Are Your Goals?

Text : Philippians 3: 10-16

Food for thought : Whatever our goals as Christians, they should never be outside having the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Lesson: Brethren, regardless of what our achievement or success could be, your goal as a Christian should be to know Christ intimately, to experience the power of His resurrection, and to share in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death. Strive to press on toward the goal, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.

10 Daily Guide, Scripture Union

Topic : Sincere Response, Genuine Fellowship.

Text : Acts 2 : 37 – 47

Food for thought : Without sincere repentance, there can be no forgiveness of sins.

Lesson: Salvation requires genuine repentance, a personal decision prompted by conviction, leading to baptism and a new life in Christ. Fellowship with believers is essential for spiritual growth and the advancement of the church. Demonstrate your commitment to Christ through repentance, fellowship, generosity, and prayer, thereby contributing to the expansion of God's kingdom.
