Today's variety, the delightful native Italian red #montepulciano is growing in popularity here in Australia, with 138 producer, up from around 50 at the turn of the century. It comes in two styles- big & brooding or bright & juicy.
The Matriarch & Rogue 2022 #leasingham #clarevalley JIM Montepulciano is the latter- Vibrant purple in colour, with an appealing bouquet of ripe cherries & plums. Divine, juicy, quite rich palate with lashings of flavour, a hint of savouriness & a crisp lingering finish.
