datahack labs, here we go!

Almost one year ago, we began the datahack adventure, with the aim to train people to go ahead with the multiple projects we need to do in Spain. Soon, very talented people began to ask info about the program. I was surprised with the excellent acceptance among the candidates the course had.

Time gave us the reason. Today, all those students are working in big data & analytics projects. We established other call for the course, and other two more, focused on people who cannot attend the bootcamp while working, in an executive version during the weekend.

Also, consultancy firms, integrators, manufacturers, and final customers began asking for these candidates to join their companies, having more vacancies than students. Some of them began working just two weeks later the course ended, and now the very best students are hired without ending the courses.There were two students, who were not able to find their place, among multiple offers from different companies they had.

They wanted to do different things, apply their knowledge and experience to solve real problems, to prove the capabilities big data has in a real environment. Aspirations  shared by myself too.

They come to me, and make an offer: "we will apply artificial intelligence to robots and you will offer it to customers". In three weeks, they’ve read all papers related to bots, visited and chat with the main platform providers, and create two chatbots: Tivsa, generative bot base on rules and the other with LSTM and TensorFlow, showed in a presentation in Campus Madrid.

Before the presentation, we already had customer interested in the bots and in other big data solutions. The business was there.

These two students are Rubén Martínez and Javier Moralo. Now they’re creating good solutions for customers who decided make the digital transformation a reality.

We discovered soon, more talented people to include in our team, Alejandro Manuel Arranz, was selected while taking the training, Highlighting his high performance, the excellent results and his personal values.
