Day 168 of 1095: Feeling Good About Being Good Enough, Aiming for Better
Life in our current era is incredibly complex. We're constantly bombarded with an endless array of tasks, goals, and responsibilities. It feels like we have to be Superman, managing to succeed in every single aspect of our lives. It's no wonder we're experiencing higher stress levels and greater health issues.
One key insight I've found essential as an entrepreneur is the concept of "Good Enough." Amidst all the chaos, it's imperative to find a way for everything we do to be sufficient—to be good enough. But this doesn't mean settling. It means always striving for Better. It means consistently trying to climb one more rung on the ladder, to improve just a little bit more.
Allow me to illustrate this through a story from my own entrepreneurial journey.
The Balancing Act
knee-deep in launching a new tech startup. Every day was a whirlwind of meetings, coding sessions, and investor pitches. felt the pressure to excel in all areas—be it as a leader, a partner, or even as a friend. The weight of these expectations was overwhelming, and found burning out quickly.
One evening, after another grueling 14-hour workday, found in a reflective mood. realized that in relentless pursuit of excellence, was neglecting the very essence of why embarked on this entrepreneurial path in the first place. wasn't enjoying the process; was merely enduring it.
Finding "Good Enough"
That's when decided to take a step back and reassess my approach. Instead of aiming for perfection, started focusing on being "Good Enough." This mindset shift allowed me to allocate my energy more efficiently. I could be a good enough entrepreneur, a good enough partner, and a good enough friend, all while maintaining my sanity.
But here's the catch—being good enough doesn't mean stagnation. It means setting a foundation that's solid enough to build upon. It means giving yourself the grace to be human, while still aiming for incremental improvements.

Every day, I started asking myself one simple question: "How can I be just a little bit better today?" Whether it was refining a pitch, spending an extra hour with my family, or simply taking a moment for self-care, this mindset helped me achieve a balanced yet progressive approach to life and business.
Striving for Better
Fast forward to today, I've integrated this philosophy into my daily routine. I'm on day 168 out of a 1095-day plan, and each day is an opportunity to be a bit better than the last. Sometimes, it's about improving my skill set; other times, it's about deepening my relationships or extending my professional network.
The important takeaway here is that you don’t need to be exceptional in every single moment—you just need to be good enough, and always strive to be a bit better. It's a mindset that not only keeps you grounded but also propels you forward.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by the myriad of tasks and expectations, take a moment to breathe. Remember, being good enough in your various roles is perfectly fine. Aim for small, consistent improvements rather than grand leaps. Over time, these incremental gains will lead to significant progress.
Until next time,
Eliav.
