Day 93 of 1095 Improving Processes with Design Partners

Today started off with some tough news about the ongoing war, but it soon picked up as I recorded some exciting new episodes for our live podcast. With a series of meetings and processes lined up with our design partner, I had a significant epiphany—learning from doing and receiving feedback is crucial to success.

The Power of Action and Feedback

Early in the day, I worked closely with a startup founder. Together, we identified a crucial aspect that could be added to our workflow to enhance both the process and the end customer's experience. This collaborative effort underscored the importance of involving design partners—our potential customers—in shaping and refining our workflows.

Key Insight:

Don't overlook the value of designing your process with your partners, who are also your potential customers. The feedback you receive can be a treasure trove of insights, even if it’s sometimes hard to hear. This constructive criticism is what ultimately helps build successful, market-ready products.

The Journey of Continuous Improvement

Remember, the road to excellence is paved with iterative steps. Today, we made another baby step forward. It’s all part of a more extensive, three-year plan (1,095 days) aimed at mastering our processes and fine-tuning our products through ongoing learning and adaptation.

Takeaway:

Never underestimate the power of incremental progress. Each step, no matter how small, contributes to the bigger picture of achieving excellence.

Questions for You

  1. How do you incorporate feedback into your processes?
  2. Do you involve your customers or partners in the design phase?
