Deadline Extended: Open Call to Exhibit Art at the United Nations 🇺🇳✨

Hello friends and followers,

A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of announcing our first collaborative Open Call with the UN SDG Action Campaign . Since the news came out, we've received almost 700 submissions from artists all around the world hoping... and now I have more good news. I'm thrilled to welcome the United Nations Youth Office to our collaboration!

Being a mom in the industry doesn't just mean I'm proactive about supporting other mothers in their professional journeys, I also care passionately about providing safe and accessible opportunities for the next generation of artists and leaders of tomorrow. Thank you to everyone at the United Nations Youth Office for joining us to curate art with impact.

If this is news to you, here are the details:

My team and I at HUG (acq. dotART) are hosting two open calls with the UN SDG Action Campaign & United Nations Youth Office for art in support of the #GlobalGoals for Sustainable Development with a variety of themes including:

  • Youth
  • Climate Action
  • Gender Equality
  • Food Security
  • Peace
  • Digital Technologies

You can learn more about the 17 Goals for Sustainable Development here... and think about how we can all work together to turn a dream of a better future for people and the planet into a reality.

Selected artists will have their art showcased in a touring exhibit around key United Nations events such as:

  • September 20, 2024: Youth Action Day with United Nations Youth Affairs
  • September 22-23, 2024: The Summit of the Future in New York City
  • October 29, 2024: The UN SDG Action Awards in Rome

In a shared commitment to diversity and inclusion, artists worldwide from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds are enthusiastically encouraged to apply. Given the new collaboration with the UN Youth Affairs Office, we especially welcome young artists to contribute.

You can apply for FREE on HUG through August 19. Artists are welcome to submit to both Open Calls if they like.

🖼️ Submit to the Open Call for Hope in Action: Transforming Tomorrow

I'm already in awe of the submissions we've received so far and I can't wait to see what artwork comes our way in the next week. I am especially looking forward to the artists and messages we will be uplifting at events around the world... and even getting to see those artworks up close and personal in my hometown of New York City.

Wishing everyone a good day and good luck.

Here for the art,

It's great to see organizations coming together to support the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. The inclusion of young artists in this initiative is particularly noteworthy, as their perspectives can bring fresh insights to the conversation. What kind of impact do you hope this touring exhibit will have on the UN events it will be featured at?
