December Newsletter
“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
December is a time for reflection and renewal, but also when burnout tends to sneak in. In between holiday stress and last minute deadlines, have you paused to appreciate all the living you have done this year?
While setting intentions for the new year is important, reflecting on the journey you have been on is key. This is something I struggle with. I am the queen of moving on to the next thing without giving myself time to sit with what I’ve just accomplished—or failed at. Sound familiar?
Here is your reminder: thank yourself for the work you put in this year. Whatever you are doing—big or small—keep at it. Keep showing up. Keep going, even on the hard days.
Looking to 2025, this is one of my favorite exercises to help ground you into setting intentions. It should take about 15 minutes.
What's Your Why Exercise
I recommend writing your answers down, pen to paper. Post it somewhere you will see every day—your desk, fridge, or taped to your bathroom mirror. Staying consistent with your health goals starts with knowing your why. It will guide you in the choices you make in your day to day life (where the magic happens). Your health journey is a marathon, not a sprint.
I am grateful for each and every one of you .
Wishing you happiness and health in the new year.
In wellness,
Lauren

3wThis really resonates, Lauren—especially the part about moving on to the next thing without fully appreciating what’s been accomplished. Reflection is something I’m working on, too, and your reminder to thank ourselves for the work we’ve done this year is so timely. I love the 'What’s Your Why' exercise—it’s such a powerful way to reconnect with our intentions. Writing things down truly makes them feel more tangible. Thank you for sharing this grounding practice—it’s a wonderful way to close out the year and step into 2025 with purpose!
