Dent Blend 2019: Exhaling After The Best Single-Day Conference I've Ever Been A Part Of (Never Mind Hosted)

I shouldn’t be awake, my feet are killing me, my ears are ringing, but I can’t stop smiling... yesterday’s 3rd Annual Dent Blend was so, so, incredible. (And as a personal high - I got to do a speech with my Dad!)
As always, it was the community that mattered and this melange of people from dozens of industries were the stars. It was also the year with the largest number of out of town attendees.
We had amazing folks from:
Massachusetts
Michigan
Pennsylvania
New York
Idaho
Oregon
North Carolina
South Carolina
Washington DC
and of course many from Virginia
Our theme was “authenticity” but there were so many other threads (such as how many different stories tugged at heartstrings). One sub theme in the conversations off the stage: The power of years of effort and the potency of new works that reinvigorates you.
At its least, Blend is an inter-disciplinary playground where the people in the seats could easily be on stage. It results in a half day experience in collaboration, innovative leadership, and ideas that showcase how we can transform people, organizations, and ourselves. At its best it is all of these things and a transformative experience that re-motivates and encourages new connections between people and concepts.
We had another amazing year, somehow very different but comfortingly similar to our first two. I can’t wait to do it again... and yeah, I have some ideas....
