Deuteronomy 34:7 - Live Your Last Day With Something Left
I believe that there are certain Bible verses that every #CEO and #leader needs to know. The wisdom of the Bible is timeless, and it still works in our world today. Today, I want to share with you a few thoughts on Deuteronomy 34:7
Deuteronomy 34:7 says, "Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone."
This is one of my favorite verses and how I desire to live my life. I want to share this verse today because it is my birthday!
This verse captures the enduring vitality and vision of one of the Bible’s greatest leaders, Moses, even in his final days. For Christian CEOs, it offers a profound reminder of how to lead with energy, focus, and purpose throughout our leadership journey.
Have A Vision That Never Fades
Moses’ eyes "were not weak," symbolizing that his vision remained clear until the end of his life. As CEOs, the demands of running an organization can blur your vision. It’s easy to get caught up in day-to-day operations, losing sight of the greater calling God has placed on your business.
Moses was steadfast because he never lost sight of the promise God gave him.
Have Something Left In The Tank
The verse also shows the Well Done leader that Moses’ strength was not gone at the end of his life. Leading a business, especially as a Christian, can be draining. Balancing faith, family, and corporate responsibilities requires immense energy. Yet, Moses reminds the leader that sustained strength is possible when you rely on God.

Leadership That Lives Beyond You
Although Moses did not enter the Promised Land, his leadership legacy endured through Joshua and the people he led. As Christian CEOs, you must think beyond your tenure, asking yourself: What will my leadership legacy be?
One More Second Step Comment
As you reflect on Moses’ example, ask yourself:
Moses was a leader who served faithfully and finished well. As Christian CEOs, you are called to do the same. Commit to leading with clarity of vision, enduring strength, and a Kingdom-minded legacy that will inspire others to follow.
