One question I am regularly asked is how to develop the next generation of leaders.

First, start early.

Discover the latent leaders within your teams. Search for hidden talents, ready to take on the world.

Empower them to take charge. Allow them to lead the meetings. Allow them to plan the project course. Give them the opportunity to experience the thrill of public speaking. Allow them to face the consequences.

Feedback is the driving force. Not only compliments but constructive criticism. It’s not about punishment; it’s about providing a fresh perspective. A perspective that promotes development, one that shapes leaders.

Is growth a daily occurrence? This is absolutely essential. Encourage them to dive into the sea of knowledge. Webinars, workshops, and books are all powerful tools in a leader’s toolkit.

This is your leadership nursery. It is a fertile ground for leaders to grow and flourish, ready to lead the business landscape of tomorrow.

Developing leadership skills requires continuous growth and development.
