Hey folks! 🌟 Just a heads-up about ChatGPT that might surprise you. Did you know you can actually use ChatGPT for free? Here’s a quick breakdown of the 3 options and how to play with it for free.

Great way to start playing with AI.

1. Free Tier 1 - Anonymous

• Access to GPT-3.5 only
• No Tools & Features
• Limitations
• Can't build or use GPTs
• No authentication LLM access

The free GPT 3.5 model has been trained up to January 2022, if you're not sure, just ask.

2. Free Tier 2 - Logged In (Without paid Pro Account)

Best option

Creating an account with ChatGPT enables nearly all Pro features with limitations on bandwidth - slower then Pro and with a limited number of AI questions or conversations. You will receive a message telling you to wait a while (most times - 4 hours) then try again.

I use this to understand free account capabilities, mostly on my iPad and iPhone so I use the Apple auth option not my corporate email account.

• Enhanced Access: By logging in, you get all the free tier benefits but with better tracking of your usage and access to the same tools and features.
• Session Continuity: Logging in helps keep your conversations cohesive as the model remembers the context better. You can pick up when you log back in.
• Rate Limits: The limitations are similar to the free tier with usage caps, but the experience is a bit more streamlined.
• Building GPTs: Logged-in users without a pro account can search and use but not create GPTs.
• The ChatGPT option uses the latest 4o LLM model, selecting temporary chat does not save that chat for the next login.

This is enough to explore ChatGPT's full feature set including using custom GPT's.

3. ChatGPT Plus ($20/month)

• Priority Access: Enjoy general access even during peak times, faster responses, and priority access to new features and improvements. You also get to select which model you want to use.
• Higher Limits: Plus users can send up to 5x more messages compared to free users, perfect for heavy usage.
• Advanced Features: Get early access to new tools and capabilities like voice conversations and more extensive data analysis options.
• Building GPT Plus: users can create their own GPTs, allowing for highly customized AI models tailored to specific tasks.
