Digital Prescriptions Now

Today “Digital Transformation” is a major strategic priority for most industries, including pharmacies. And although the digitalization of internal processes can yield great efficiencies and provide improved customer service, history has shown us that when an industries main consumer products are digitized, far greater transformations are realized.

When a consumer product is transformed from a physical product to a digital product it greatly expands accessibility, typically reduces the cost and creates new use cases that can spawn completely new applications and industries.

Digital photos devastated the film and photo processing industry, but made Facebook and Instagram possible. Digital music disrupted the recording industry, but made iTunes, Spotify and satellite radio possible. Digital maps eliminated the paper map industry and made GPS and Uber possible.

Today, just like Kodak with film and processed photos in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, pharmacies are still selling physical prescriptions into a digital world.

We believe that digitizing prescriptions on the obvious delivery vehicle of the Smartphone, is inevitable and will disruptively transform the healthcare industry and greatly improve population health, through applications like automated chronic disease management and 24/7/365 generated healthcare BIG DATA. And we are not alone in this belief. Major players in tech and healthcare are investing hundreds of millions in the pursuit of digitized prescriptions.

Our patented Intellectual Property, we call InteMed, uses DIGITAL TWIN technology and low cost SMART-PACKAGING to physically and digitally integrate prescriptions with any Smartphone to become the nucleus of digital healthcare delivery. Unlike other digitizing prescription methods being worked on, InteMed does not require the development of completely new technologies, such as putting a chip-in-the-pill.  In fact our simple and practical pill-in-the-chip approach not only provides digitized prescriptions, but also a completely new and unique medication handling approach adding increased differentiation.

We are seeking to license our patented intellectual property.
