Digital twins Add Charm To Smart Parks
Smart parks are the basic building blocks of smart cities. The degree of intelligence of each park in the city ultimately determines the overall construction level of the city. The digital twin smart park is composed of intelligent infrastructure in the physical world and software services in the digital world. The digital twin system has the capabilities of full-sample data collection, analysis and simulation, and can continuously optimize service management based on park operation big data, so that the park's operation and service experience can be continuously upgraded.
Over the years, SuperMap has been deeply involved in the construction of smart cities and promoted the construction of digital infrastructure based on spatiotemporal information big data technology. We have created a digital twin data base and service platform through park data governance, and built a series of business applications on top of it including park planning and design, construction management, operation management, and operation services. After polishing a large number of typical projects, a set of smart park construction solutions covering the entire life cycle of park management has been formed, with high practicality, flexibility and openness, and has widely served park management departments, enterprises and the public.
1. Overall architecture of digital twin smart park
The overall architecture of the digital twin smart park is divided into six levels: infrastructure layer, network transmission layer, information resource layer, platform support layer, smart application layer and smart park intelligent operations center (IOC, Intelligent Operations Center)
● Infrastructure layer
The infrastructure layer includes two categories: campus intelligent subsystems and intelligent IoT sensing devices.
The park intelligent subsystem is the basic system for building a smart park, including intelligent lighting, intelligent parking lots, traffic information control, building automation, video surveillance, integrated security, integrated fire protection, elevator control and other systems.
Intelligent IoT sensing equipment is a supplement to the park's infrastructure and sensing capabilities, including multi-functional smart light poles, smart manhole covers, unmanned inspection machines, air and environment detection, spatial positioning, and other equipment.
● Network transport layer
The network transmission layer mainly includes: mobile communication network and optical fiber broadband network serving the public; Internet of Vehicles serving transportation and governance; office network serving park administration; security emergency network serving security, firefighting and emergency response; and various types of intelligent services Equipment private network for communication between equipment and systems.
information resource layer
The information resource layer is the data "base" of the digital twin park. Through spatio-temporal big data technology, the spatio-temporal big data of geographic information, 3D models of facilities and equipment, BIM of buildings and infrastructure, IoT perception, business topics and other data are integrated to construct a digital twin entity with spatio-temporal attributes. These digital twin entities have all the data in the life cycle, and the upper-level digital twin platform can perform various business services such as park operation index analysis, simulation operation, trend prediction, and governance plan evaluation based on these twin entities.
● Platform support layer
The digital twin comprehensive service platform is mainly composed of a simulation scene construction platform, a data fusion service platform, a 3D cloud rendering service platform and a visualization development platform. The platform supports the S3M standard ("Spatial 3D Model Data Format" T/CAGIS 1-2019), and provides platform support for upper-level intelligent business applications through excellent openness and multi-terminal integrated services.
● Smart application layer

Smart applications provide a full life cycle solution for smart parks from planning and construction to construction and operation services. For existing business application systems in the park, rapid integration and capability upgrades can be achieved based on the platform.
● Smart Park Operation Centre
The smart park operation centre is the master control brain of the smart park. Through the integration of various intelligent applications, it provides a unified cockpit for the operation and management of the park. The system provides functions such as comprehensive supervision, operation monitoring, maintenance management, security situation, and emergency command. Using technologies such as spatiotemporal big data and simulation, it can continuously analyze various indicators, predict future trends, and provide support for daily operation management. Provide forward-looking decision-making basis for emergency response.
● Standard specification system and self-controllable
The construction of smart parks will follow a series of mature standards and normative systems. The vitality and safety of the system are ensured. The platform realizes a full range of independent controllability, including domestic CPU, database, operating system, cloud environment, GIS, Beidou positioning, etc., which fully ensures the safety of various operation and management data of the park and IOC's ability to control the physical equipment of the park.
2. Park planning and design simulation
A large amount of basic geographical data is used in the early planning and design of the park How to effectively integrate all kinds of data on one map so that all units and departments can jointly plan, collaboratively design, and automatically review regulations in a unified simulation scenario is a basic problem that the digital twin platform must first solve.
Therefore, according to the characteristics of this stage, we have implemented a data engine that supports GIS+BIM multi-source heterogeneous data fusion and supporting data governance standards: through the SDX+ spatial data engine, raster images, vector maps, laser point clouds, and 3D models are realized. , BIM model and other data integration; through multi-source heterogeneous data fusion technology, a multi-dimensional unified spatial data resource pool is formed in the digital space; at the same time, the system also provides rule modelling, spatial analysis, red line detection, height control Ability required for planning and design such as analysis, skyline, sunshine analysis, floor area ratio analysis, etc.
Each participating unit can conduct comprehensive planning and design of the park in the digital twin space through visualization based on consistent twin data resource services. Through the visual rendering service provided by the platform, highly realistic simulation presentation of planning and design results can be achieved.
The digital twin system directly supports VR terminal access. Planning and design or reviewers can perform immersive roaming in the digital twin space, and intuitively experience the overall effects of landscaping, architectural lighting, and night scene lighting after the park is completed. By setting the height and posture of the digital avatar in the simulation scene, it is possible to experience the park landscape or barrier-free design more realistically and find design defects in time. These functions enable the park to meet extremely high design standards at the beginning of planning and design.
