Direct Primary Care Skyrockets 12% in 2016! Time for DPC to blast off, so hang on to your #pinksocks & please RT! ;)

In recent health care news, several leading Direct Primary Care practices will be closing, in 2017, due to lack of obtaining bridge funding needed to move forward with securing new contracts.

I am very grateful for all the awesome DPC pioneers leading the movement to empower people's well-being and their wallets. Whether you are a brave DPC physician, passionate DPC advocate, or couragous DPC politician fighting for health care freedom and “true access” to quality, affordable health care, we are all fighting for compassionate care for our veterans, our grandparents, our parents, ourselves, and our children. Thank you Senators Colbeck (MI) and Cassidy (LA) for leading the free-market health care movement on the Hill and in your states.

Starting up a small business from the ground floor or a new market for that matter is definitely no easy ride. It takes much blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice, hardships, highs and lows just to get through the first one to three years. It is like riding a roller coaster ride of emotions that will one day become one of the greatest memories in your lifetime. If you fail, you learn from that experience. It is not a failure because you did give it your all, after all. If you succeed, you will remember the hard times of when you started up as one of the best memories ever.

What is the future of DPC? It is what we make of it and fight for. Rome was not built in a day, and the DPC market is still in its infancy.

The good news is DPC is blasting off, so hold on to your #pinksocks, if you got 'em. According to the AAFP, the DPC market grew by 12% in 2016. That's a pretty optimistic number, in my opinion. In the last five years, DPC has shown steady and stable growth. Two years ago, there was a major influx of DPC doctors who launched. Today, through strong and steady growth, many are expanding their practices to include additional physicians and health care providers, and even expanding into additional locations. Yay! :)

What the DPC Movement really needs, right now, is a little love from real people, like you. If you are a DPC member, please share your DPC patient story.

How cool is it that one of our nation's heroes, American Astronaut Jon McBride's son, Jon McBride, recently became a DPC member and loves it! This is Jon's DPC patient story.

Captain McBride and his son, Jon, are part of the #pinksocks tribe, like me. The DPC market needs the #pinksocks tribe to please help generate some awesome buzz for the DPC market through a lot of sharing and caring (RT, RT, RT, & lots of Likes on Twitter for #DirectPrimaryCare). With recent DPC pioneers leaving the DPC market, many wonder what is the future of DPC.

With your love, we can build great market awareness for the DPC Movement for it to continue to skyrocket. Who knows. Maybe, one day, we will see DPC on the moon and on Mars and beyond... Let's #MakeItSo in #pinksocks or whatever color of cute socks you may have. :)

If you are new to Direct Primary Care and are wondering what it is, please watch video. My personal definition - DPC is free-market health care, which increases doctor-patient satisfaction. It provides immediate access to quality, affordable healthcare. DPC cuts out the middleman insurance and all the headaches (red tape and bureaucracy) from health care. As a result, operational efficiencies increases, while reducing overhead and headaches. DPC empowers the doctor-patient relationship for better outcomes. :)
