Direct Sales Consultant? Why You Need a Website

Imagine this: Ellen, a potential customer, is waiting in line at the supermarket. Ellen is not only interested in your product but she also likes to buy from people she knows. Ellen asks for your number and promises to call.

Ellen pulls out her card when she returns home and sees the telephone number and address of the corporate website. Ellen searches the internet for information about YOU. It's not there. Direct Sales consultants are a great team because they can build trust and relationships. Ellen quickly forgets about the brief meeting at the supermarket.

Ellen is greeted by another consultant the next week who gives Ellen a card with her direct sales website. Ellen learns about the specials and events that her consultant promotes on her website, and then she calls her to make a purchase.

A website is essential. You are the reason your business stands out from the rest. One of the best ways you can extend your personal touch to potential clients who live busy lives is by allowing them to get to know your company online.

Convenience

Even if you are focusing on regional clients, it is difficult to schedule many personal meetings with people who are not family or friends. A well-written and designed website will allow you to continue the conversation with prospects at a convenient time and place.

You can include audio, video, photos, downloadable booklets and guides to your website. A prospective customer can listen to and see you share your personal message from the comfort of his or her home.

This is especially helpful for clients who are not interested in or too busy for in-person informational visits.

The Personal Touch

Although a website may be able to reach a larger audience or target market, this doesn't mean that you will lose the personal touch many people love about direct sales. Your website can offer online conference rooms where customers can join in on live sessions to discuss new products or promotions.

Information that you hand out in printed form, such as a brochure or newsletter, can sometimes get lost. Your website will allow you to archive your newsletters, highlight products and make them available for your customers at any hour of the day or night.

Marketing

Social media is one of the most powerful tools available for marketing any business. Participating in strategic ways on social media sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter can help you reach thousands of potential clients.

You will lose many potential customers if you don't have a website that users can visit to learn more about your company or do business with you (not the corporation).

If your website is well-written, it can reflect who you are and what type of service that you offer to potential customers. Websites are not just nice things to have. They are essential marketing tools for Direct Sales Consultants.
