Upon arrival, I was received as a foreigner, with distrust and even discrimination. I knew that what I was seeking was not an immediate reward, but something far more valuable in the long term: the opportunity to find the right people, those who would share my vision and values.

The path was not easy. Ingratitude, betrayal, and obstacles seemed to be constant companions. However, I never allowed those difficulties to divert me from my purpose. The Disillusion of Denied Support I clearly remember a time when I sought help from my country's embassy abroad. In the midst of a political and social crisis, during a period when the COVID-19 pandemic had overwhelmed all systems, I found myself completely alone. I was entitled to federal protection, like any citizen in my situation, but when I requested the necessary support, I faced an inexplicable denial. It was a hard blow, not just because of the lack of support during a critical moment, but because the reason behind the denial was politically motivated. Instead of offering me the backing I was entitled to, they left me stranded in a foreign country, in the middle of a global health crisis.

This event marked a turning point in my life. It was the moment when I truly understood that, even when seeking support from institutions that should protect me, politics and personal agendas can take precedence over the common good. This experience left me with a deep sense of loneliness, and it made me reflect on the injustices that are often experienced behind closed doors. However, what this event taught me was even more valuable: the truth cannot be silenced, and personal convictions should never be negotiated, for anything or anyone.

My career of over 22 years in the public and private sectors has been a journey filled with challenges and lessons.
