Do Not Chase Status or Title

Do Not Chase Status or Title

It is important to learn how to structure your life by evaluating your strengths, talents and skillsets that leads to fulfillment over the long term. On the journey of life, one of the most significant decisions we make is choosing our area of study and career pathway.

Often, society conditions most people to feel the pressure of focusing on the draw of status and titles which can cloud them and their parents judgment. This may lead young people down a path that may not truly align with their passion and purpose.

Moreover, by looking beyond the external labels of success and dive into a deeper, more spiritual understanding of ourselves, we can make choices that resonate with our true selves and lead to fulfillment and satisfaction.

When it comes to declaring an area of study, it is important to focus on your interests, passions and values over perceived status or prestige associated with certain fields. Consider what truly excites you, what makes your heart sing and what you can see yourself dedicating your time and energy to wholeheartedly.

Pursuing a subject that genuinely connects with you will not only make your academic journey more enjoyable but will also set the stage for a fulfilling career ahead while maintaining a flexibility within certain industries that also bring you joy and fulfilment.

When it comes to choosing a career pathway after graduation, it is key to approach the decision-making process as a spiritual journey. This means taking the time to reflect on your core values, beliefs, work life balance, skill development, brand expertise and aspirations for leadership.

Ask yourself some foundational questions such as:

- What kind of impact do I want to make in the world?

- How can I use my talents and skills to contribute positively to society?

- What brings me a sense of purpose and fulfillment?

- What are my career pathway options within an every changing job market?

- How can leverage technology in my learnings and development to remain relevant in the job market?

- What type of mentorship or support should I access to help with getting into the job market, during employment and staying in the job?

- Do I want to have an option to explore future entrepreneurship?

Establishing an approach to your career decisions from a place of introspection, self awareness, what is right for you or a spiritual connection, this can ensure that your chosen path has an authentic connection to self.

This alignment will not only lead to greater satisfaction and happiness in your work but will also enable you to have a positive impact on the customer/client, company and community.

The journey of self-discovery and career exploration is a deeply personal and individual one. By letting go of external expectations and focusing on your inner expectations, you can pave the way for a fulfilling and purpose-driven life where status and titles chasing are left at the door with the EGO.

Trust in yourself and listen to your intuition because it's all about your one life.
