Do cheats, bullies and self-promoters reach success quicker?

Do cheats, bullies and self-promoters reach success quicker?

If we look at the current state of the world, we might have the false assumption that people who bully, self-promote and cheat are the only ones to achieve success fast and easy.

Many are so conditioned by the 'success' paradigm. An outdated paradigm which states that success will give us worthiness and is to be found in titles, degrees, fame, material possessions. And the sooner we can tick off these bullet points: the degree, the title, the house, the car, the more successful we are perceived to be.

Some are so blinded or even desperate to find worthiness, happiness, fulfillment in those things that they are ready to betray themselves and choose a machiavellian way to climb the so-called ladder of success.

And yet, the fact that they feel the need to behave in this way is missing the entire point of achieving success in life.

First of all, I would invite you to question that paradigm; investigate it profoundly. Is your worthiness really to be found in things outside you?

If we can see that we are worthy, no matter what, we can start living from the inside out, and start growing our talents, sharing our gifts and develop ourselves in a career which is fully in alignment with our purpose rather than chasing illusory shininess and never being fully present with who we are, without appreciating the fullness of our being, our own magnificence.

If we don’t grow as a human, if we have no understanding of who we are, if we don’t become a more evolved, compassionate, kind, mature and balanced human being, the price for achieving the so-called success is devastating.

Developing noble character is more important than achieving whatever wordly success. Your light shines bright and fully when you listen to the whispers of your soul rather than the shouts of your ego.

Remember that bullies, cheats and self-promoters operate based on fear and insecurity.

When you have faith in your competences, faith that you are divinely supported always, you will progress in a magnificent way; maybe not in the way your ego wants but certainly in a way to fulfill your soul’s mission in this life.

Wishing you a day where you can develop compassion and kindness for the bullies and cheats and model a new way of being.

May you be guided by kindness always.

Much love, Barbara

Barbara Vercruysse In today’s world, it can seem like those who push others down, self-promote, and cut corners achieve success quickly. Many people chase this idea of “success,” believing it lies in titles, wealth, and material achievements. They’re conditioned to think that ticking off these milestones—the degree, the job title, the house, the car—proves their worth. Some even compromise their values, desperate to feel accomplished. But true success isn't found in these outward things. Instead, ask yourself: does my worth really depend on external achievements? When we recognize our inherent worth, we can live authentically, develop our talents, and pursue careers aligned with our deeper purpose. Success then becomes about growth, compassion, and understanding ourselves, not simply chasing fleeting goals. Without inner growth—without kindness, maturity, and balance—material success can feel hollow. Cultivating noble character and listening to our soul’s quiet wisdom brings a deeper, lasting fulfillment. Remember, those who bully or cheat are often driven by fear. But with faith in your own abilities, you can shine brightly and achieve a life aligned with true purpose, guided by kindness and compassion. #CAROHITUPADHYAYA

Magnificent post Barbara Vercruysse Agree that noble character - including happiness and mindfulness - is more important than worldy success. Worldly success is a good thing if it's built on the right foundation. 🙏✨😊💗
