Do you train your Virtual Assistants?

“Do you provide training?” I often get asked by prospective clients. 

And the answer is a big fat YES. 

But there is something that we do that is even better…peer support. 

We can put your Virtual Assistant in contact with other people doing similar thing. 

Using Xero? Great, they can have a chat with Jing from my accounts team. 

Updating WordPress? Tin, my website guru is their woman. 

And it goes on..

But one of the best strategies we use is a slack channel which is dedicated to asking and answering questions. 

Jong, one of our amazing team members who supports the Client Virtual Assistants manages the channel.

He makes sure that everyone is looked after and that they get an answer to their questions.

If the person needs a little more support he jumps on a call with them and workshops it.

He knows a lot of stuff so often he can help them himself.

But if not he can support them by researching it or introducing them to someone in the team who is an expert in the area.

I find the variety of questions asked in the slack channel quite interesting.

If you have a Virtual Assistant (or are thinking of getting one), remember ‘training’ is not the be all and end all.

But peer support can be.
