Does this support the life I want to create?

Get into the habit of asking yourself:

Does this support the life I want to create?

I am an early riser.

I love to start my day together with the sun. We're close that way. Usually, I sip my coffee slowly each morning outdoors in my garden. I have a very special morning routine and although it took me a long time to adjust, tweak and refine, it was well worth it. I love it!

I have a few disciplines that I do every single morning before anyone is awake in my house and it is an awesome way to launch a new day. This includes slowly sipping my coffee, breathing, vision work, prayer, journaling and my morning walk with an amazing podcast.

As it's really cold outside, I'm starting my day indoors with my beautiful fish instead. Just the sound of the gentle water and bubbles is soul-nourishing.

Our dreams come at a price and to keep them alive, we need energy. Part of my morning is fueling my mind and priming it so that I can work towards my goals with the right mindset of empowerment.

Being more present in life is not passive. It is a conscious decision that needs to be made over and over, proactively.

"Feeling good doesn’t just happen. Living a life in balance means taking the necessary time to renew yourself. It’s all up to you. You can renew yourself through relaxation. Or you can totally burn yourself out by overdoing everything. You can pamper yourself mentally and spiritually. Or you can go through life oblivious to your well-being. You can experience vibrant energy. Or you can procrastinate and miss out on the benefits of good health and exercise. You can revitalise yourself and face a new day in peace and harmony. Or you can wake up in the morning full of apathy because your get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone. Just remember that every day provides a new opportunity for renewal – a new opportunity to recharge yourself instead of hitting the wall. All it takes is the desire, knowledge, and skill.”

SelfCare is something we can all learn how to do better. It is a trainable competency that we can all incorporate into our lives.

At times like this especially, where we're enduring almost a full year of this hard pandemic, with nowhere to go, it's up to us to try our best and create a life for ourselves that at least for right now, we don't need a vacation from.

Couldn't agree more! We need to feel nourished to perform and be at our best.
